  • Publication number: 20240147278
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The method may include a user equipment (UE) receiving a first message indicating a configuration for measuring cross-link interference (CLI) and for reporting one or more CLI measurements. Further, the UE may receive a second message activating the configuration. Upon receiving the second message, the UE may monitor a resource during a first periodic occasion and transmit a report comprising the one or more CLI measurements during a second periodic occasion.

  • Patent number: 11974264
Abstract: A Service Capability Exposure Function for a UE (U-SCEF) may be part of the UE's operating system (OS) and expose API's to applications that allow these applications to schedule data plane communications such as periodic sensor measurements or a firmware download. The U-SCEF communicates with an EPC Interworking Service that resides in the mobile network operator's (S)Gi-LAN. The EPC Interworking Service serves as an interface between the U-SCEF and the service capabilities that are exposed by the MNO via the SCEF. The U-SCEF may provide the EPC Interworking Service with information about the UE's anticipated communication schedule and mobility status. The EPC Interworking Service uses the services that are exposed by the SCEF to determine the optimal times for the UE to communicate, an optimal mobility management configuration, etc. The EPC Interworking Service negotiates a communication schedule with the EPC (SCEF) and policies on behalf of the U-SCEF.

  • Publication number: 20240137972
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling that indicates a configuration for subband full duplex (SBFD) slots and a random access channel (RACH) configuration for SBFD slots. The UE may transmit at least one instance of a RACH message in an uplink subband of an SBFD slot in accordance with the RACH configuration. The RACH configuration may enable a UE to repeat a RACH message or transmit a multi-slot RACH message across an SBFD slot and an uplink slot. The RACH configuration may map synchronization signal blocks (SSB)s to RACH occasions in the uplink subband of the SBFD slot. In some examples, the SSBs may be mapped across multiple (e.g., consecutive) SBFD slots. In some cases, the RACH configuration may enable a UE to repeat a RACH message or transmit a multi-slot RACH message across multiple SBFD slots.

  • Publication number: 20240137096
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a beam failure detection (BED) reference signal set in one or more slots in a full-duplex mode and in one or more slots in a half-duplex mode. The UE may detect beam failure due to self-interference based at least in part on a comparison of measurements of the BFD reference signal set in the full-duplex mode and half-duplex mode. The UE may switch from the full-duplex mode to the half-duplex mode for slots configured for the full-duplex mode based at least in part on detecting beam failure due to self-interference. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20240137195
Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow for a UE or a base station to handle CG or SPS occasions that fall in a partially full-duplex slot. Initially, the UE receives an indication of a configured grant (CG) or a semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configuration for allocating CG or SPS occasions. Next, the UE determines whether the CG or SPS occasion overlaps in at least one SBFD symbol in a partially full-duplex slot based on the CG or SPS configuration. Afterwards, the UE communicates with a base station according to a modification to the CG or SPS occasion based on the CG or SPS occasion overlapping in at least one SBFD symbol in the partially full-duplex slot. As a result, the UE and the base station may handle instances where a CG or SPS occasion falls in a partially full-duplex slot without identifying an error conditions or simply dropping the CG or SPS occasion.

  • Publication number: 20240137281
Abstract: Techniques for monitoring data transport in a network virtualization function chain (chain). A path tracing packet is generated having a Midpoint Compressed Data (MCD) to collect path tracing information of the chain. The network virtualization function node is configured to record an MCD containing Wide Local Path Tracing Identification (WL PT ID). The WL PT ID includes a first field having a value that indicates that a non-standard path tracing format is to be used and a second field that indicates a particular path tracing format to be used. The path tracing packet is passed through the chain and is received back after passing through the chain. Data collected by the path tracing packet is then analyzed to determine which network virtualization function nodes and chains the path tracing packet passed through and the amount of time taken for the path tracing packet to pass through the chain.

  • Publication number: 20240137872
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The techniques described herein relate to a user equipment (UE) that monitors performance of downlink transmission from a network entity to the UE, and provides a dynamic downlink transmission power recommendation. The UE may receive control signaling that indicates configuration information for dynamic reporting of the recommended downlink transmission power level for the network entity to apply for subsequent downlink transmission. The UE may receive, from the network entity, a downlink transmission in accordance with the configuration information. The UE may transmit, to the network entity, a dynamic message including an indication of the recommended downlink transmission power level for the network entity based on receiving the downlink transmission in accordance with the configuration information.

  • Patent number: 11968153
Abstract: To enable full-duplex communication in a time division duplexing (TDD) band, a network node (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may be configured to communicate in one or more flexible bandwidth parts (BWPs) using BWP-specific TDD patterns regardless of a TDD pattern configured for the underlying band. However, in some cases, half-duplex communication may offer better performance than full-duplex communication (e.g., when full-duplex communication may cause self-interference or there is a need for high throughput half-duplex communication). Accordingly, some aspects described herein relate to timing considerations and switching indications for indicating an interval in which the network node is to operate in the flexible BWP using the BWP-specific TDD pattern and switching between the BWP-specific TDD pattern and the TDD pattern of the underlying band (e.g., using switching indications based on a number or quantity of transmission time intervals and/or a timer, among other examples).

  • Publication number: 20240129925
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, control signaling and a control message. The control signaling may indicate resource allocation tables, including a frequency resource allocation table supporting multiple transmissions across multiple frequency bands corresponding to a single control message and a time resource allocation table supporting multiple transmissions across multiple time intervals corresponding to the single control message. The control message may schedule multiple messages, including a frequency domain resource allocation (FDRA) field and a time domain resource allocation (TDRA) field indicating multiple frequency bands and one or more time intervals according to the time resource allocation table and the frequency resource allocation table. The UE and the network entity may communicate, via the frequency bands and one or more time intervals, multiple wireless messages according to the FDRA and the TDRA.

  • Publication number: 20240129172
Abstract: Aspects are provided for generation and transmission of MDMRS which allow matching of nonlinear model impact or properties between DMRS and data in DFT-s-OFDM waveforms as well as CP-OFDM waveforms. A UE transmits, to a network entity, an MDMRS generated from a DMRS. The MDMRS has a PAPR distribution matching a PAPR distribution of a signal including data in an uplink channel. A target PAPR of the MDMRS is based on a modulation scheme of the data. The UE also transmits the data in the uplink channel, where the uplink channel includes a PUCCH or a PUSCH. As a result of the ability of MDMRS to match the nonlinear impact of DMRS and PUSCH or PUCCH, the network entity may compensate for any EVM that may occur as a result of PAPR reduction by a nonlinear operator of the UE, and communication performance may thereby be improved.
