Patent number: 11905807Abstract: A method includes determining a free water level in the reservoir, analyzing a free water pressure trend of the free water phase, determining a presence of anomalous pressures and salinities within the free water phase, determining whether gas down to models and water up to models fit the reservoir, determining a bi-modal pore throat distribution of the plurality of pores within the reservoir, and generating a difference map to model the water distribution in the reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 2021Date of Patent: February 20, 2024Assignee: SAUDI ARABIAN OIL COMPANYInventors: Ahmed Moustafa Abdel Wahab M. Publication number: 20240049315Abstract: First user equipment (UE) exchanges at least a portion of data to be transmitted to a communication network with a second UE on a side channel. The UEs then send the data to the network at increased transmission power by using transmit antennas of both the first and second UEs, instead of just those of the first UE. In some cases, the second UE may transmit a variation of the data sent by the first UE to perform transmit diversity and improve signal-to-noise ratio. To avoid unintended beamforming of the transmissions, the network may mix signals (e.g., having a same symbol) received at the same time period but at different sub-carriers, or mix the signals received at different time periods but at the same sub-carrier. The network may notify the UEs of a phase correction value based on the signals, and the UEs may adjust using the phase correction value.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 10, 2023Publication date: February 8, 2024Inventors: Firouz Behnamfar, Ahmed Moustafa, Ahmed Mostafa Ali Soliman, Sree Ram Kodali, Christian W. Publication number: 20230362631Abstract: This application describes techniques for managing subscriber identity module (SIM) data for a wireless device, including secure storage and processing of SIM data. Select SIM data is encrypted using an encryption key by a processor external to a secure element, e.g., a universal integrated circuit card (UICC) or electronic UICC (eUICC), and at least a portion of the select SIM data is stored in the secure element. The select SIM data can be divided into multiple parts, where a first part of the encrypted SIM data is stored in the secure element, while a second part of the encrypted SIM data is stored external to the secure element, such as in a non-volatile memory (NVM) of the wireless device. The encryption key is stored in a secure NVM of the wireless device. The encrypted SIM data and the encryption key are required to decrypt and recover the SIM data.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 8, 2023Publication date: November 9, 2023Inventors: Deepak DASH, Ahmed M. Publication number: 20230327957Abstract: A computing system to generate models of managed devices and applications in an Internet of Things (IOT) system by identifying each endpoint in the managed devices and applications capable of transmitting or receiving the data and defining flows for data from the endpoints in sensors to endpoints of IOT servers via endpoints of the programmable edge device applications. The computing system can develop a data flow map to define a connectivity of the programmable edge device applications to the sensors C and the servers in the IOT system for exchanging the data from the sensors to the servers in the IOT system via the programmable edge device applications. The computing system can prompt configuration of the managed devices and applications in the IOT system based on the data flow map, which implements the connectivity of the programmable edge device applications to the sensors and to servers in the IOT system.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 27, 2020Publication date: October 12, 2023Applicant: Siemens AktiengesellschaftInventors: Emmanuel Petit, Abdul Basit, Ghada Bahig, Ahmed Moustafa

Patent number: 11345807Abstract: A grafted polyvinyl alcohol polymer has a balance between hydrophilicity and hydrophobicity. The grafted polyvinyl alcohol polymer has a chemical functionality that allows for adsorption onto the pulp fibers, polymer film formation upon drying, repelling water upon wetting, polymer film swelling and breaking for prolonged wetting by water. When incorporated into paper products, the polymer can provide a paper having improved wet strength, temporary water repellency, and/or is dispersible in aqueous solutions.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 2019Date of Patent: May 31, 2022Assignee: BUCKMAN LABORATORIES INTERNATIONAL, INC.Inventors: Ahmed Moustafa, Daniel Glover

Patent number: 10847147Abstract: Automatic speech recognition systems can benefit from cues in user voice such as hyperarticulation. Traditional approaches typically attempt to define and detect an absolute state of hyperarticulation, which is very difficult, especially on short voice queries. This disclosure provides for an approach for hyperarticulation detection using pair-wise comparisons and on a real-world speech recognition system. The disclosed approach uses delta features extracted from a pair of repetitive user utterances. The improvements provided by the disclosed systems and methods include improvements in word error rate by using hyperarticulation information as a feature in a second pass N-best hypotheses rescoring setup.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2019Date of Patent: November 24, 2020Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Ranjitha Gurunath Kulkarni, Ahmed Moustafa El Kholy, Ziad Al Bawab, Noha Alon, Imed Zitouni
