  • Patent number: 11272496
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may retune from a first narrowband carrier to a second narrowband carrier. The UE may determine to retune in one or more symbols of either a first narrowband subframe or a second narrowband subframe based on the number of symbols for the UE to retune and a number of other factors. The other factors may include the start symbol of a downlink channel scheduled in the second narrowband subframe, the number of antenna ports configured for the UE, hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) identifier (ID), coding rate or effective coding rate, among others. The UE may determine to retune in the first narrowband subframe, the second narrowband subframe, or in both subframes in order to utilize reference signals transmitted to the UE and reception of all downlink messages scheduled for the UE.

  • Publication number: 20210165783
Abstract: Materialized views may be generated at a managed materialized view platform that accepts data streams as a source. When updating a materialized view with a data stream as a source, a stored portion of the stream is used to maintain a history of changes to be made. When a join operation needs to utilize the data stream source to determine an update to the materialized view, the data stream is preserved to complete the join and update the materialized view.

  • Publication number: 20210165803
Abstract: A materialized view created by a materialized view management platform may be replicated across many different target systems. The materialized view management platform allows users to specify different target systems. To create the materialized view in the different target systems, the materialized view management platform can translate the materialized view into different formats in order to store the materialized view in the different formats. Updates to the different instances of the materialized view are then made to keep the different materialized view formats in the different target systems up-to-date.

  • Publication number: 20210165789
Abstract: The maintenance of a materialized view created and managed by a materialized view management platform may be dynamically adjusted. The performance of updates to a materialized view are monitored to trigger different events to make adjustments to the performance of subsequent updates. The materialized view management platform can adequately scale to handle changes to data sources as inputs to the maintenance of the materialized view, as well as make other adjustments handle various changes in the capability of the target data store to receive updates to the materialized view (e.g., target data store outages).

  • Patent number: 10959202
Abstract: Techniques performed by a User Equipment (UE) are provided for fast timing acquisition for Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycles. The UE determines one or more System Frame Number (SFN) hypotheses. Each of the one or more SFN hypothesis can represent a possible SFN at which the UE can wake up from a sleep state of a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) cycle. For at least one of the one or more SFN hypotheses, the UE generates a detection metric based at least partially on a Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH) sequence received from a base station, and determines, based on a value of the detection metric, whether the at least one SFN hypothesis represents a current SFN in accordance with a clock source used the base station for communicating with the UE. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration that identifies one or more narrowband channels in which the UE is to receive one or more physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) repetitions of a paging message associated with a discontinuous reception procedure. The UE may receive, in an online mode of the UE, one or more machine-type communication physical downlink control channel (MPDCCH) repetitions of control information. The UE may receive, in the online mode of the UE, the one or more PDSCH repetitions in the one or more narrowband channels identified by the configuration. The UE may process, in an offline mode of the UE, the one or more MPDCCH repetitions and the one or more PDSCH repetitions. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Publication number: 20210051631
Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to bandwidth part (BWP) switching after data communication are provided. A user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station (BS) in a first bandwidth part (BWP), one or more data bursts and BWP switching information. The UE switches from the first BWP to a second BWP based on the BWP switching information after receiving the one or more data bursts. The UE communicates, with the BS, a communication in the second BWP after the switching.

  • Publication number: 20210050975
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to enable a base station to configure additional reference signals, which may be referred to as configured reference signals, to include in a transmission to a user equipment (UE). The UE may transmit a report to the base station, indicating a UE capability for supporting configured reference signals, and the base station may configure a pattern for the configured reference signals. The base station may transmit an indication of the pattern to the UE, where the indication may include one or more characteristics associated with the configured reference signals. The base station may transmit the configured reference signals to the UE according to the pattern, along with one or more baseline reference signals, within an associated transmission. The UE may use the configured reference signals and the baseline reference signals to receive a transmission from the base station.

  • Publication number: 20200383077
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for wireless communication are disclosed. In one aspect, a user equipment (UE) determines to perform a synchronization procedure and receives at least one synchronization signal. The UE may generate a detection metric based at least in part on the at least one synchronization signal and compare the detection metric or detection metrics accumulated since determining to perform the synchronization procedure with a detection threshold. The detection threshold may be associated with the at least one synchronization signal utilized to determine whether the synchronization procedure can be terminated prior to receiving a predetermined number of synchronization signals. The UE may continue or terminate the synchronization procedure based at least in part on a result of the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20200167355
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for edge processing in a distributed time-series database are disclosed. A first set of time-series data is generated by one or more client devices and is associated with one or more time series. A local time-series database stores the first set of time-series data into a local storage tier. The local time-series database generates a second set of time-series data derived from the first set of time-series data. A remote time-series database receives the second set of time-series data from the local time-series database via a network. The remote time-series database stores the second set of time-series data into one or more remote storage tiers.

  • Publication number: 20200167360
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for a scalable architecture for a distributed time-series database are disclosed. Using a fleet of ingestion routers, time-series data generated by a plurality of client devices is stored into a plurality of durable partitions. The time-series data comprises a plurality of time series, and an amount of the ingestion routers is determined based at least in part on an ingestion rate of the time-series data. Using a fleet of stream processors, the time-series data from the durable partitions is stored into a plurality of storage tiers including a first storage tier and a second storage tier. A retention period for the first storage tier differs from a retention period for the second storage tier. An amount of the stream processors is determined based at least in part on the time-series data in the durable partitions.

  • Publication number: 20200167361
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for continuous functions in a time-series database are disclosed. A plurality of data points of a time series are stored into one or more storage tiers of a time-series database. The plurality of data points comprise a plurality of discrete measurements at respective timestamps. Using one or more query processors of the time-series database, a query of the time series is initiated. The query indicates a time range. Using the one or more query processors, a continuous function is determined that represents a segment of the time series in the time range. The continuous function is determined based at least in part on the plurality of data points. An operation is performed using the continuous function as an input.
