  • Patent number: 11990957
Abstract: To perform wireless communication scheduling, a network node (700) calculates a corresponding layer limit for each of a plurality of scheduling intervals of a cell (20) served to a plurality of user equipment via multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO). The network node (700) schedules time-frequency resource utilization such that, for each of the scheduling intervals, no time-frequency resource is scheduled for use by more of the UEs (200) than the layer limit corresponding to the scheduling interval.

  • Publication number: 20240063938
Abstract: A method is performed by a network node for handling link adaptation for a communication between the network node and a User Equipment, UE, in a wireless communications network. The method comprises: obtaining an initial Information Carrying Capacity, ICC, estimate; and establishing a measurement at each Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request, HARQ, feedback on an initial transmission in the communication. The measurement comprises a Block Error Rate, BLER, per: rank, Modulation and Coding Scheme, MCS, and slot. Based on the established measurement it is determining whether or not to adjust the initial ICC estimate, and whether or not to disable outer loop ICC adjustments. The determining is to be used as a basis for the link adaptation of said communication. A corresponding network node is also presented.

  • Publication number: 20230224954
Abstract: A network node is configured with a common preamble format for a shared spectrum comprising a first Radio Access Technology (RAT) and a second RAT. The RACH procedure is common for the first and second RAT. The network node configures the network node with a common preamble location in time and frequency for the first and second RAT. The network node configures the UE with a preamble group comprising a number of preambles distributed between the first and second RAT for the common preamble format. When receiving from the UE, a first RACH message comprising a first preamble at the common preamble location according to the UE configuring, the network node decides whether the first RAT, the second RAT, or both the first and second RAT, shall be used for a second RACH message to be sent to the UE.

  • Publication number: 20230179379
Abstract: Providing port independent Non-Zero-Power (NZP) Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) muting is disclosed herein. In one embodiments, the method performed by a network node comprises categorizing a plurality of user equipments (UEs) into a first UE group and a second UE group, wherein each of the first and second UE groups is associated with a respective one or more CSI-RS resources. The method further comprises transmitting CSI-RS on the one or more CSI-RS resources of the first UE group while muting or not transmitting CSI-RS on the one or more CSI-RS resources of the second group.

  • Publication number: 20220124750
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a network node (110), for handling baseband resources in a wireless communications network (100). The network node (110) estimates an uplink resource need f( . . . ) and a downlink resource need g( . . . ) for a future Transmission Time Interval i based on resource metrics from one or more previous Transmission Time Intervals. The network node (110) determines a resource division between uplink and downlink based on the estimated uplink and downlink resource needs. The network node (110) further schedules the uplink and downlink resources based on the determined resource division.
