  • Patent number: 11005395
Abstract: The invention relates to a circuit for selectively actuating drive elements (1, 2), which are operated on direct current, in a motor vehicle by means of half-bridges (4, 5). According to the invention, the circuit is designed for selectively actuating eight drive elements (1, 2) for locking and, respectively, unlocking four doors of the motor vehicle from the outside and/or from the inside. The circuit contains nine half-bridges (4, 5), wherein the outputs of eight of the nine half-bridges (4) are each connected to a first pole of one of the eight drive elements (1, 2) and the output of the ninth half-bridge (5) is connected to all second poles of the eight drive elements (1, 2).

  • Patent number: 10906393
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for a refueling cap locking mechanism. In one example, a method includes unlocking the refueling cap in response to an engine start. The unlocking occurs without a vehicle operator input outside of a request to start the engine.

  • Patent number: 10848954
Abstract: A vehicle includes a search system including at least one antenna, a wireless transceiver control module, and a processor. The processor receives a vehicle access request. The processor then sends a search instruction to the wireless transceiver control module to search for an authorized wireless device within a predefined distance of the vehicle. The processor receives a response, to the request, from the wireless transceiver control module indicating search results and a state indicator indicating a state of the search system. When the state indicator indicates a state predefined as corresponding to a final result state for fulfilling the request, the processor utilizes the search results to determine if the access request should be granted and when the state indicator indicates a state predefined as corresponding to an in-progress state, which will result in an improved response at a future time, the processor re-instructs the search and repeats response reception.

  • Patent number: 10596995
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method to lock, unlock and start a vehicle without using a radio key or electronic vehicle key. According to the disclosure, the function of starting the vehicle without actively using the key is blocked when the vehicle is locked. When the vehicle is unlocked in a manner secured against relay station attacks, the possibility exists of starting the vehicle without actively using the key.

  • Patent number: 9827950
Abstract: An exemplary locking assembly includes, among other things, a lock that transitions between a first state that prevents disengaging electric vehicle supply equipment from a charge port and a second state that permits the disengaging. A control module is configured to command the lock to transition from the first to the second state in response to a user interaction with a selector device and an authentication of the user interaction. An exemplary securing method includes, among other things, receiving a request to disengage electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) from a charge port of a vehicle, permitting a disengaging if the request can be authenticated, and preventing the disengaging if the request cannot be authenticated.
