Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting theft of one or more consumable products at a plurality of washroom facilities at a commercial location are provided. The system includes one or more product dispensers within each of the washroom facilities that require periodic refill of a consumable product. The system also includes a sensor configured with each of the product dispensers configured to monitor an amount of product consumed from the product dispenser and to generate one or more data signals comprising product usage information. A server system is provided that configured to receive the one or more data signals and to monitor product usage of the dispenser based. The server system is further configured to generate a theft alert upon identification of one or more theft parameters. The one or more theft parameters includes identification of a product usage rate that is an atypical product usage rate for the product dispenser.
