  • Patent number: 11805479
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to establishing a connection between a client device and an access point (AP). The AP may receive a series of connection frames from a client device. In response to determining that the client device is unstable based on the series of connection frames, the AP may assign a simplified wireless connection configuration to the client device. Further, the AP may receive a request management frame from the client device after the simplified wireless connection configuration has been assigned to the client device. The AP may generate a customized response frame for the request management frame based on the simplified wireless connection configuration. The AP may send the customized response management frame to the client device. Finally, a reliable connection may be established between the AP and the client device based on the customized response management frame.

  • Publication number: 20230092764
Abstract: Examples described herein relate to maintaining a reliable connection between a client device and an access point (AP). Based on the data frames exchanged between the AP and a client device of a plurality of client devices communicatively coupled to the AP after the client device is connected to the AP, the AP may determine whether a client device is experiencing performance issues with respect to a wireless communication feature. In response to determining that the client device is experiencing performance issues with respect to the wireless communication feature, the AP may disable the wireless communication feature for the client device. Further, the AP may continue to exchange data frames with the client device without offering the wireless communication feature. Further, the AP continues to offer the wireless communication feature to another client device of a plurality of client devices not facing the performance issue related to the wireless communication feature.

  • Patent number: 11477720
Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms for coordinated scanning in a mesh cluster. An organization of a wireless mesh cluster having at least one mesh portal, at least one mesh point is determined. For each of the at least one mesh points, a beacon offset value corresponding to each mesh point is determined. Off-channel scanning is coordinated for the mesh points utilizing the beacon offset value for the mesh points. During the off-channel scanning the mesh point discontinues transmission on a home channel and scans at least one other channel.

  • Publication number: 20210068014
Abstract: Techniques and mechanisms for offloading of off-channel scanning. Characteristics corresponding to wireless client devices within a wireless network are evaluated. A request is sent from a wireless access point of the wireless network to one or more selected wireless client devices from wireless client devices. The request causes the one or more selected wireless clients to perform off-channel scanning. Reports are received from the one or more selected wireless client devices having information gathered by the off-channel scanning performed by the selected wireless client devices. Information from the reports is utilized to perform network setting modification.

  • Patent number: 8009800
Abstract: A method for performing security screening of a liquid product at a security checkpoint is provided. The liquid product is placed in a tray having at least two reference areas manifesting respective X-ray signatures when exposed to X-rays, the X-ray signatures being distinguishable from one another. An X-ray inspection of the tray is performed while the tray holds the liquid product, the X-ray inspection including deriving the X-ray signatures. A determination is made as to whether the liquid product is a security threat at least in part based on the X-ray signatures. A tray having at least two reference areas manifesting respective X-ray signatures when exposed to X-rays is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8009799
Abstract: A tray for holding an article while the article is being subjected to penetrating radiation is provided. The tray has a surface on which the article can be placed while subjected to penetrating radiation. The surface has at least two areas, namely a first area and a second area, the first and second areas characterized by first and second signatures, respectively when exposed to penetrating radiation, wherein the first signature is different from the second signature. The second area corresponds to a reference material having a reference signature. The tray is placed on the conveyor belt of a scanning apparatus while the article rests on the surface of the tray so that the conveyor belt may advance the tray through the screening area of the apparatus. A method and system for performing security screening and using the tray are also provided.
