  • Publication number: 20160062634
Abstract: According to one embodiment, when a first stroke is inputted on a display, an electronic device displays an elongate first area in a first style, the first area including a display area of the first stroke, displays a second area other than the first area in a second style different from the first style, and displays one or more first handwriting candidates on the display based on the first stroke. The electronic device determines to enter, when one of the one or more first handwriting candidates is selected, the selected first handwriting candidate in place of the first stroke. The device determines to enter the first stroke when an operation on the second area is detected.

  • Patent number: 8989498
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a system stores a plurality of contents in a storage medium, each content includes handwritten data including stroke data corresponding to strokes which are handwritten, image data corresponding to the strokes, and retrieval information for retrieving the handwritten data. The system provides, upon receiving a retrieve request including a character string from a terminal, to the terminal either the handwritten data in the content corresponding to first retrieval information, the first retrieval information corresponding to the character string from among retrieval information of the plurality of contents, or the image data in the content corresponding to the first retrieval information.

  • Patent number: 8717424
Abstract: A display apparatus configured to display three-dimensional video viewable by a viewer wearing stereoscopic-viewing glasses. The display apparatus includes: an input module; a display device; an image input module; a detection module; and a recording module. The input module receives video data. The display device displays the three-dimensional video based on the received video data. The image input module receives a captured image from an image-capturing device that captures an image of an area around the display apparatus and on a side facing the display device. The detection module detects an image of the stereoscopic-viewing glasses from the received captured image. The recording module records the received video data when the image of the stereoscopic-viewing glasses is not detected by the detection module.
