    Abstract: A system for protecting a person's facial skin from contaminants due to the application of makeup is disclosed. The system may include one or more patches that may be applied to the person's eyelids, cheeks, lips or other locations, upon which makeup may then be applied. In this way the makeup is applied to the top surface of the patches and not directly to the person's skin. The system may thereby prevent microbes (e.g., bacteria, viruses, etc.) from being transferred from the makeup and/or the makeup applicator to the person's skin.
