Abstract: Among other disclosed subject matter, a computer-implemented method for providing a plurality of applications through a dynamic icon is disclosed. The method includes receiving request to invoke a first app in a smart device, the first app invoked by activation of a corresponding first app icon displayed at the smart device. The method further includes selecting one of a plurality of database apps to be offered at the smart device in response to the received request. The selected one of the plurality of database apps is offered as the first app in the smart device in response to the request to invoke the first app, where a particular one of the plurality of database apps is dynamically selected in response to the request based on one or more criteria associated with the selection of the one of the plurality of database apps and the selected one of the plurality of database apps is offered as the first app at the smart device.
