  • Publication number: 20250052085
Abstract: The present invention relates to a post-tensioning system for a tower of a wind turbine that manages the quasi-permanent loads on the tower to counter them, reducing their impact and making it possible to decrease the required amount of overall post-tension force in the tower of the wind turbine, also to a post-tensioned tower of a wind turbine comprising the post-tensioning system and to the method of post-tensioning a tower of a wind turbine.

  • Publication number: 20240035247
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for manufacturing an adaptable precast foundation structure for a wind turbine that is configured taking into account the wind turbine loads and soil conditions allowing that a large part of the foundation structure is homogenized, despite the fact that the transition structure being manufactured with the system is dependent of the type of soil and that the size of said transition structure varies depending on the soil, making it easily adaptable to the geotechnical conditions of each wind turbine position of the windfarm which allows a significant reduction in time and cost. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing an adaptable precast foundation structure for a wind turbine and to a wind turbine manufactured with said method. The invention also relates to a system for manufacturing a precast foundation structure for a wind turbine and related method and precast foundation structure.

  • Patent number: 11821403
Abstract: A method of assembling a wind turbine tower by stacking a plurality of annular sections made of concrete above each other. The main connections are performed between two adjacent annular sections, for withstanding loads induced by a rotor. The auxiliary connections are performed between two adjacent annular sections, for withstanding loads induced by an earthquake and loads induced by the wind on the wind turbine in absence of the rotor, but not necessarily loads induced by the rotor. The method is characterized in that the auxiliary connections between two adjacent annular sections are performed prior to stacking the following annular section.

  • Patent number: 11359609
Abstract: Anchor cage for a foundation of a wind turbine. The anchor cage comprises at least an upper load distribution plate (1), at least a lower load distribution plate (2), and a plurality of first reinforcement elements (3) extending between said plates (1, 2). It further comprises at least one intermediate load distribution plate (4) placed between the upper load distribution plate (1) and the lower load distribution plate (2), and a plurality of second reinforcement elements (5) extending between the upper load distribution plate (1) and the intermediate load distribution plate (4), and being shorter than the first reinforcement elements (3). An assembly method for the anchor cage is also described. A foundation is also provided in which the total post-tensioning value provided in the upper part of the foundation (6) is different from the total post-tensioning value provided in the lower part of the foundation (7).

  • Patent number: 10941536
Abstract: Wind turbine foundation (1) comprising an annular base plate (2) comprising a supporting surface (3) and defining a central hollow (4) by at least an inner lateral surface (6). The central hollow (4) further comprises a lower surface (5) arranged at a level lower than a level of the supporting surface (3). In particular, the central hollow (4) has a dimension (D), defined by the distance between at least an inner upper surface (10) and the lower surface (5), established such as to allocate additional equipment between both surfaces. A method of constructing said wind turbine foundation (1) is also described.

  • Patent number: 10895089
Abstract: Wind turbine tower with reinforcing elements. The wind turbine tower comprises at least a first section (1) comprising at least two segments (2) defining at least two vertical joints (3) disposed between the at least two segments (2), at least two reinforcing elements (4) placed in each vertical joint (3), and at least an upper region (5) disposed above at least a lower region (6). The reinforcing elements (4) are configured to provide a first shear strength (1ss) in the at least upper region (5) and a second shear strength (2ss) in the at least lower region (6), the first shear strength and the second shear strength having different values and being enough to bear a maximum expected shear force in the vertical joints (3).
