Abstract: Methods and systems for detecting defects in patterns formed on a specimen are provided. One system includes one or more components executed by one or more computer subsystems, and the component(s) include first and second learning based models. The first learning based model generates simulated contours for the patterns based on a design for the specimen, and the simulated contours are expected contours of a defect free version of the patterns in images of the specimen generated by an imaging subsystem. The second learning based model is configured for generating actual contours for the patterns in at least one acquired image of the patterns formed on the specimen. The computer subsystem(s) are configured for comparing the actual contours to the simulated contours and detecting defects in the patterns formed on the specimen based on results of the comparing.

  • Patent number: 10382580
Abstract: Examples relate to scaling persistent connections for cloud computing. In some examples, a data packet is used to determine connection information of the first connection. At this stage, server portion of the first connection is closed by using the connection information to send a close command to the cloud server. In response to a keepalive signal from the client computing device, the connection information is used to send a keepalive response to the client computing device to maintain a client portion of the first connection. In response to a service request from the client computing device, a service notification including the service request is sent to the client computing device, where the client computing device initiates a second connection with the cloud server to process the service request.

  • Patent number: 10327154
Abstract: Apparatuses and methods of beam switching are presented. A beam switch message (BSM) is transmitted to a second device via a first beam set. The BSM includes a command to switch from communication via the first beam set to communication via a second beam set at a switch time. A response message is received from the second device via the first beam set. The response message indicates that the second device received the BSM. A communication is sent to the second device via the second beam set after the switch time if the response message is received.

  • Publication number: 20190166531
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive data from both a source base station and a target base station during handover. For example, the UE may refrain from resetting or reestablishing media access control (MAC) and packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer configurations until after a successful access procedure is performed with the target base station. In some cases, a single radio link control (RLC)/PDCP stack may be used during handover procedures. A source base station may, for example, forward data to a target base station after receiving a handover execution message. A UE may identify and resolve any duplicate data sent by both base stations during the transition. Additional signaling may be used (e.g., during the radio resource control (RRC) configuration) to indicate that a UE supports dual link handover.

  • Patent number: 10285114
Abstract: Neutral host networks may offer one or more different services via one or more different service providers, but user equipment (UE) may not necessarily know which services/service providers are offered by the neutral host networks. Accordingly, nodes of the neutral host networks (e.g., an access point, such as an evolved Node B (eNB)) may transmit service discovery information (SDI) to advertise the one or more services or service providers offered by the node and/or the neutral host network. Thus, a UE can receive the SDI via broadcast by the node, dedicated message from the node, etc., and can accordingly present at least a portion of the SDI or determine whether to connect to the node or another node of the neutral host network based at least in part on the SDI.
