Patent number: 10341927Abstract: A vehicle wireless unit and a method of operating the same. The vehicle wireless unit and method may be used to temporarily halt a non-interrupted data flow between the vehicle wireless unit and a cellular network over a first cellular link according to a first radio access technology (RAT), which purposely causes the vehicle wireless unit to enter an idle mode and results in the first cellular link being released. Once the first cellular link is released, the vehicle wireless unit and method may search for and, if found, establish a second cellular link with the cellular network according to a higher-order radio access technology (RAT). The vehicle wireless unit and method may be particularly useful with autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicles.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2017Date of Patent: July 2, 2019Assignee: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLCInventors: Scott T. Droste, Khaled Rabbah, Sanja Laptosevic, Chalan Munasinghe, Rahgul G. Padinjarethil, Ajay Shrivastava, Paul R. Williams

Patent number: 9408926Abstract: The present invention provides polypeptides, peptide dimers, and multimeric complexes comprising at least one binding moiety for KDR or VEGF/KDR complex, which have a variety of uses wherever treating, detecting, isolating or localizing angiogenesis is advantageous. Particularly disclosed are synthetic, isolated polypeptides capable of binding KDR or VEGF/KDR complex with high affinity (e.g., having a KD<1 ?M), and dimer and multimeric constructs comprising these polypeptides, particularly contrast agents. Also provided are methods for monitoring and evaluating the therapeutic effectiveness of treatment protocols for diseases associated with angiogenesis or endothelial cell hyperproliferation, such as cancer, using contrast agents of the invention.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2013Date of Patent: August 9, 2016Assignee: Bracco Suisse S.A.Inventors: Christophe Arbogast, Philippe Bussat, Hong (Helen) Fan, Sudha Khurana, Karen E.
