  • Patent number: 9726474
Abstract: A method and system to implement the method of measuring a change in an optical path length using differential laser self-mixing interferometry. The method includes obtaining a reference SMI signal (Sr) and a main measurement SMI signal (Sm) of a laser (LD) and determining the relative change in the optical path length between the (LD) and a target (T) in a range between 0 and ?/2, by comparing the relative positions along time of fringes or transitions of the (Sm) and (Sr). The (Sr) and the (Sm) are obtained at different moments once backscattered laser light (br) is generated from the reflection on said target (T) of a reference and a main measurement laser light beam emitted by the laser (LD) and while being modulated according to a specific modulation pattern that maintained while both the (Sr) and the (Sm) are acquired and has re-entered its laser cavity.

  • Publication number: 20070183599
Abstract: Security key distribution techniques using key rollover strategies for wireless networks are described. A number of keys are generated, usually by an access point. The present invention allows a standard mode and a mixed mode. In standard mode, each device on the network supports automatic key updates. In mixed mode, one or more devices on the wireless network require fixed keys. In both modes, a predetermined number of keys are determined and communicated to client devices that are accessing the wireless network. The predetermined number is determined so that a client device can miss a certain number of authentication periods without losing communication with the wireless network. Preferably, transmit keys used by an access point are different than the transmit keys used by the client devices that support automatic key updates.

  • Publication number: 20060277819
Abstract: The present application relates to deposit control additive composition comprising of Mannich base and Polyisobutylene succinimide (PIBSI) having average molecular weight of about 800 as a synergistic component for hydrocarbon fuel, particularly diesel fuel along with other conventional additives such as fluidizer oil, dehazer, corrosion inhibitor, solvents, and optionally lubricity improver, antistatic agent and ignition accelerator to obtain diesel fuel composition. The application also relates to a process for the preparation of fuel composition by blending at an ambient temperature diesel fuel and deposit control additive formulation obtained by blending Mannich base, Polyisobutylene succinimide (PIBSI) fluidizer oil, dehazer, corrosion inhibitor, optionally lubricity improver, antistatic agent, ignition accelerator at a temperature ranging between 50° C. to 60° C. for a time period of up to 2 hours.
