  • Patent number: 10146739
Abstract: A processor receives a first vector signal and a second vector signal from a circuit in response to the circuit receiving the first vector signal. The processor transforms the second vector signal from a time domain to a transform domain. The processor rotates the transformed second vector signal by a phase that is proportional to a time delay between the first and second vector signals to time-align the second vector signal to the first vector signal.

  • Publication number: 20170272185
Abstract: The radio frequency environment surrounding a tower mounted, remote radio head (RRH) and its internal operation may be monitored without the need to climb the tower where the RRH is mounted. Many measurements, such as time/frequency measurements, may be made without climbing the tower.

  • Patent number: 9729361
Abstract: A fractional delay estimation module estimates a delay of a section of a forward processing path between a first point and a second point. The fractional delay estimation component determines an integer component and a fractional component of a first path delay based on a transform of a first vector inserted into the forward processing path at the first point and based on a transform of a first feedback vector received from a feedback path, determines an integer component and a fractional component of a second path delay in the forward processing path based on a third transform of a third vector inserted into the forward processing path at the second point and based on a fourth transform of a second feedback vector received from the feedback path, and further determines the estimated delay of the section based on a difference between the first and second path delays.

  • Patent number: 8233852
Abstract: An apparatus may include a non-linear module, a control module, and a calibration module. The non-linear module produces an output signal from an input signal. The control module selects, upon an occurrence of a calibration condition, a calibration operation from two or more calibration operations. Each of the two or more calibration operations may generate one or more correction values for the non-linear module. Further, each of the calibration operations produces the input signal from a pre-input signal. This selected calibration operation is performed by the calibration module. The two or more calibration operations include a first calibration operation and a second calibration operation. The first calibration operation produces the input signal from the pre-input signal according to a predictive technique. The second calibration operation produces the input signal from the pre-input signal according to a non-predictive technique.

  • Patent number: 7983359
Abstract: Various techniques involving polar modulation are disclosed. For instance, an apparatus may include a storage medium and a calibration module. The storage medium stores multiple adjustment settings. Each of these adjustment settings corresponds to an operating condition. The calibration module selects one of the stored adjustment settings that corresponds to a current operating condition. With the selected adjustment setting, the calibration module reduces a polar modulation timing misalignment. The current operating condition may include one or more operational parameter values. Examples of such parameter values include output power level, signal frequency, and/or temperature.
