  • Publication number: 20170315608
Abstract: Methods and systems for enabling a user to perform a full body movement while viewing a virtual reality environment on a head up displays without interfering with viewing of content on the heads up display. Specifically, a full body movement of the user is detected. In response to detecting the full body movement, the additional content is generated for display in a portion of the virtual reality environment corresponding to a foreground area of the user's visual field. The additional content assists the user perform the full body movement.

  • Publication number: 20170277402
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for accentuating candidate characters of strings relating to promotional content. To this end, a media guidance application may receive user input of a character through a user interface. The media guidance application may identify a plurality of strings that the character could be used to achieve, compare each string of the plurality of strings to entries of a promotional database, and identify, based on the comparing, a string that is designated as a promotional string. The media guidance application may then determine a next character of the promotional string, and may accentuate a portion of the user interface that corresponds to the next character.

  • Patent number: 9774911
Abstract: Methods and systems for automatically evaluating an audio description track of a media asset include initializing a rating of an audio description track of a media asset to a default value; receiving a first video frame and a second video frame of the media asset; detecting an object in the first video frame and the second video frame; determining that a difference in a characteristic of the object between the first video frame and the second video frame exceeds a threshold difference; determining that an audio characteristic in a portion of the audio description track that corresponds to the first video frame and the second video frame exceeds a threshold audio characteristic; and increasing the rating of the audio description track by a unit.

  • Publication number: 20170180193
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for enabling a first user to set up an alert that will notify the first user when the first user has caught up to a second user's progress in consuming media. These systems and methods are used to ensure that the first user is informed, while they are consuming media, that they have caught up to the progress of a second user. By providing an alert while the first user is viewing media, the first user does not have to remember the progress of the second user while viewing the media, alleviating the first user from worrying they will pass the progress made by the second user without realizing they have done so.

  • Patent number: 7750400
Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) includes at least a first complementary MOS (CMOS) circuit, the first CMOS circuit comprising one or more first n-channel MOS (NMOS) transistors and one or more first p-channel MOS (PMOS) transistors, where the first NMOS transistors and the first PMOS transistors are arranged in the first CMOS circuit to drive at least a first common node of the first CMOS circuit. An average of the effective gate channel lengths of the first NMOS transistors (first NMOS average length) is at least 2% greater than an average of the effective gate channel lengths of the first PMOS transistors (first PMOS average length).
