  • Publication number: 20180038513
Abstract: Various implementations provide an inherently safer design feature for microchannel reactors that provides temperature control at the individual channel level. This approach relies on bimetallic strips embedded within the combustion channel, forming a thermally-actuated “valve”. Bimetallic strips convert a temperature change into a mechanical displacement. Heating the strip increases its deflection and thereby restricts flow in the combustion channels, which consequently reduces the rate of heat generation. The thermally-actuated valve is not limited to use in microchannel reactors and may be used in other structures for which thermally actuated flow control is desired, according to some implementations.

  • Publication number: 20160267409
Abstract: A method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and a data management computing device that assists with identifying relationship between entities includes including obtaining heterogeneous data associated with two or more primary entities from one or more data sources. Only relevant data associated with the two or more primary entities is identified from the obtained heterogeneous data. A masked relationship between the two or more primary entities is determined based on the identified relevant data and a generated entity relationship mapping. A related context for the determined masked relationship between the two or more primary entities are identified and provided.

  • Publication number: 20160239769
Abstract: A method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and productivity assessment computing device that identifies entities present in frames of a video. Entity movement across the frames is plotted to obtain a trajectory of the entities. Interactions of one or more of the entities in each of the frames are identified. A unique sequence encoding is generated for subtasks performed by each of the entities. One of the subtasks is classified as a waste subtask based on one or more of the interactions corresponding to the one of the subtasks and the trajectory and a type of each of the entities associated with the interactions. The sequence encodings of the one of the subtasks are correlated with a number of frames per second of the video to determine waste duration value(s) for a task and the waste duration value(s) are output.

  • Publication number: 20130247610
Abstract: A partially condensed hydrocarbon feed stream is sent to a column. An overhead vapour hydrocarbon stream from the column is then partially condensed by indirect heat exchanging against an expanded cooling fluid flowing through a first section of a cold side heat exchanging channel. The cooling fluid consists of a mixed refrigerant composition, and liquid from the expanded cooling fluid is continuously transformed to vapour thereby forming a residual liquid portion of not evaporated expanded cooling fluid. The residual liquid is used to progressively condense the hydrocarbon feed stream to produce the partially condensed hydrocarbon feed stream that is sent to the column, by allowing the hydrocarbon feed stream to lose heat to the residual liquid passing through a second section of the cold side heat exchanging channel. The liquid component that is condensed out of the overhead vapour hydrocarbon stream is used as reflux for the column.
