Abstract: Various methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided. One example includes a method for transferring location information. Location information is received via a network. The location information is parsed. It is determined whether the location information is in a proper format for a navigation device. In response to determining that the location information is not in the proper format, the location information is converted into the proper format for the navigation device. The location information is transmitted to the navigation device via another network, and the navigation device is capable of receiving communications over the other network.

Abstract: Locating content by performing a search at a plurality of content storing locations is provided. A search query is received requesting content. A search is performed for the requested content at a plurality of content storing locations including at least a user content storage device and a network accessible content storage device. If the search locates the requested content, and if the requested content is not stored on the user content storage device, then digital rights management protection is applied to the requested content and the requested content is streamed from the network accessible content storage device to the user content storage device. Digital rights management protection denies access to the requested content until a payment authorization is received.

Abstract: Electronic coupons are distributed by receiving customer preferences including a customer identifier associated with a preferred vendor identifier, a preferred vendor category identifier, a preferred product/service identifier, or a preferred brand name identifier. Vendor information is received which includes a vendor identifier, a vendor category identifier, a vendor product/service identifier, a brand name identifier, or a promotional offer discount parameter. The customer preferences are compared with the vendor information to determine whether or not a match exists between the customer preferences and the vendor information. If a match exists, an electronic coupon is generated that includes information indicative of the preferred vendor identifier, the preferred vendor category identifier, the preferred product/service identifier, the preferred brand name identifier, or the promotional offer discount parameter.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer products for DVR searching, scheduling and recording for unscheduled programs and programs outside an electronic programming guide. Exemplary embodiments include an unscheduled program searching, scheduling, and recording method, including receiving program data related to a currently unscheduled program, receiving a recording request for scheduling recording of the currently unscheduled program at a date when the currently unscheduled program becomes available as a scheduled program, storing the recording request for the currently unscheduled program and in response to the currently unscheduled program becoming available as the scheduled program, scheduling the scheduled program for recording.

Abstract: Methods and computer program products for reporting application and device data retrieved from within an Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) network environment are provided. IPTV system usage data is retrieved from at least one IPTV device and normalized into a predetermined data format. The IPTV system usage data is parsed according to predetermined criteria. The parsed IPTV system usage data is delivered to a dedicated data mart for storage, the IPTV system usage data that is stored within at least one dedicated data mart is accessed, and the IPTV system usage data that is stored at the at least one dedicated data mart is used to generate a report.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer products for storage of music via Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) are disclosed herein. Exemplary embodiments include a network-based method for audio storage. The method includes receiving a request to store audio data, retrieving the audio data through an Internet Protocol television (IPTV) network, and storing the audio data in an audio repository in communication with the IPTV network.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing media channel services are disclosed. A method includes provisioning an Internet-Protocol (IP)-enabled media channel in response to a request to create a media channel account, which includes creating an account record for the media channel account, assigning a media device identifier to the account record, assigning a network address to the IP-based media channel, and storing the network address in the account record. The method also includes populating a storage system with editable and non-editable content. The editable content is received and controlled by a user of the media channel account via a media device, and the non-editable content is controlled by a network media services application. The method further includes creating and presenting a media channel page that includes the editable and non-editable content in response to a request by the user to initiate a session for the channel.

The method includes receiving a destination address for a media file including the media content captured by the media recording structure, the destination address entered via the input component. The method includes creating an account record for a user identification received from a network-enabled media recording device and storing the user identification in the account record. The method further includes presenting a menu of options to the user via the network-enabled media recording device. The options are operable for defining an authorization requirement for controlling access by a target viewer to a media file and/or managing account information, account preferences, media devices, and media files.

The method includes gathering profile data, behavior data, and external data for users of communications devices accessing content over a network. The method also includes creating a database of demographic profiles based on the gathered data, receiving a request from an advertising entity to present an advertisement to a population of the communications devices based upon a set of business parameters, and identifying a demographic profile in the database that satisfies criteria set forth in the business parameters. The method further includes transmitting the advertisement to the communications devices associated with the demographic profile that satisfies the criteria set forth in the business parameters.

Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for providing network convergence of applications and devices across multiple types of networks are provided. The method includes receiving an identifier for a device and user credentials for an account. The account specifies network access privileges for a user. The method also includes authenticating the user credentials and storing the device identifier with the user credentials within the account upon successful authentication of the user credentials. The method further includes using the user credentials and an identifier of a respective selected device specified in the account to route a sign on request from the respective selected device to a network authentication element for providing a single sign on credential for a user of the respective selected device.
