The leading flank of each male rotor groove comprises a portion intersecting with the pitch circle and following a circular arc having its center inside the pitch circle. In the point of intersection the tangent to the arc forms an angle of 0.25 rad to 0.75 rad with a radius of the rotor, and the radius of the arc forms an acute angle with a line connecting the center of the arc with the center of the rotor.
