  • Publication number: 20110053225
Abstract: The present invention relates to multifunctional protein production tags comprising at least 4, preferably 4-8 amino acids, for optimising expression of proteins and purification thereof by various multi-step processes including chromatographic or filtration, as well as batch unit operations. The tags include sequences of multiple defined purposes which are not generated in defined linear sequence regions related to one purpose but as integrated sequences often overlapping each other, i.e. the defined purposes are not discrete separate units on the tag but rather heterogeneously distributed in the tag. The invention also relates to an expression vector encoding the multipurpose tag and a method for protein purification, comprising expressing a protein in the expression vector and purifying the protein in several steps using functionalities of the multipurpose tag.

  • Patent number: 7153071
Abstract: A device for chip forming machining including first and second rotatable bodies arranged along a common axis of rotation. The first body forms a male element, and the second body forms a female element into which the male element is threaded for forming a threaded joint. The male element has an outer circumferential area displaced in the axial direction in relation to the thread thereof and which engages a corresponding inner circumferential area of the female element by a press-fit. One or both of those circumferential areas has an out-of-roundness, such that there occurs a press-fit along two or more preselected regions in the circumferential direction.

  • Publication number: 20060260999
Abstract: A rotary disk filter and a module for building a filter support for a rotary disk filter are disclosed. The rotary disk filter may comprise a drum, which is rotatable about its central longitudinal axis. The rotary disk filter may be adapted to receive a liquid which is to be filtered. In one implementation, the rotary disk filter may comprise at least one disk-shaped filter member which on the outside of the drum extends outwards in the transverse direction of the drum, and which has a filter support and at least one filter portion supported thereby. A first liquid duct may extend from the drum through the filter member and out through the filter portion. The filter portion may be made of filter segments, which are detachably secured to the filter support. At least one second liquid duct may extend between adjoining filter segments to provide liquid communication between the filter segments.

  • Publication number: 20040265080
Abstract: A deep hole drill is rotatable around a geometric axis and includes a body defining a through-channel arranged for internal chip evacuation. The channel opens in front and rear ends of the body. One or more cutting edges are made integrally with the rest of the body, more precisely from a hard material, such as cemented carbide or CERMET. A front bridge of the body extends across the front channel and possesses the integral cutting edge(s).

  • Patent number: 5820318
Abstract: A drilling tool for drilling in metals has in its front part cutting insert-carrying cartridges, for instance 3, 5 or 7 in number. The peripheral cartridge (6) carries a peripheral cutting insert (7). This peripheral cartridge is fastened in the drill by a locking screw (16) that extends in a slot (17) in the drillhead. Radially inside of the peripheral cartridge is a wedge (15) which can be displaced axially and thereby regulate the radial position of the peripheral cartridge and cutting insert and, thereby, the cutting diameter. When the desired radial adjustment has been attained, the peripheral cutting insert is fixed by the locking screw (16). In this way, a very exact adjustment of the cutting diameter is obtained.

  • Patent number: 5697737
Abstract: A drill includes support pads for supporting and guiding the drill in the drill hole. The support pads are formed as parallelepiped-shaped cemented carbide bodies which each have two wing-shaped protrusions on their longitudinal sides. In a corresponding way, the drill head of the drill includes recesses with two bulged parts on the long sides. This gives the support pad a determined axial position and strengthens the support pad at the weakening caused by the central hole. Further, the support pad can be turned half a revolution if one of its ends becomes damaged since the end spaces do not have to function as abutment surfaces.
