  • Patent number: 5944061
Abstract: A dobby for controlling movements of a heald frame in a weaving machine is provided. A treadle is mounted on a treadle spindle and a link arrangement connects the treadle to the heald frame. Levers are mounted on the treadle and catching members are arranged on the levers and on the treadle. The catching members on the treadle interact with a corresponding catching member on one of the levers based on a control signal. Driving equipment moves the levers between a central position and an outer position. The treadle follows the movements of the lever it is connected to by the catching members and moves the heald frame via the link arrangement.

  • Patent number: 5882188
Abstract: A gas burner includes an ignition mechanism and a gas conduit for conducting gas from a gas supply, through a gas inlet, to a burner nozzle. The gas conduit includes an ignition gas conduit and a separate main gas conduit, the ignition and main gas conduit being generally parallel to each other with the main gas conduit being disposed within the ignition gas conduit. The gas inlet, at one end of the gas conduit, is in communication with the ignition gas conduit, through an ignition nozzle. The ignition mechanism is mounted in the ignition gas conduit, downstream of the ignition nozzle. The main gas conduit is in communication with the ignition gas conduit through the burner nozzle. The burner nozzle is located downstream of the ignition mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4176657
Abstract: This disclosure relates to apparatus for waxing skis comprising a gas burner assembly adapted to be connected to a can of gas, and a waxing iron releasably attached to the gas burner assembly by means of a quick connect-disconnect device including a resilient snap element. The waxing iron includes a bottom plate having a convex configuration whereby only a limited portion of the surface area thereof may contact the surface of a ski thereby preventing burning of the ski or the wax being spread thereon.
