  • Patent number: 8096399
Abstract: Coin lock comprising a lock housing (1) with two coin openings (2, 3) for insertion of coins (A, B) which enable operation of the coin lock, a bolt piece (8) which is connected to a bolt (9) and is arranged in the lock housing and able to move between a forward and a rear position, and a first and a second coin sensing device, each of which comprises a first (31, 31?, 34-, 34?) and a second (32, 32?, 35; 35?) carrier device to carry a coin with a predetermined minimum diameter, inserted through one of the coin openings, and a hook (14, 15) which; in absence of a coin with the predetermined minimum diameter, borne by the carrier device, and engaging with the bolt piece, prevents the bolt piece from being moved to the forward position, and which, in the presence of a coin with the predetermined minimum diameter, borne by the carrier device, allows the bolt piece to be moved into the forward position.

  • Publication number: 20110108385
Abstract: Coin-operated lock comprising a lock housing (1), a lock cylinder having a cylinder core (50), a bolt piece (3), and a follower (4), which is rotatable about a rotational axis and is coupled to the cylinder core and the bolt piece to allow operation of the bolt piece by means of a key inserted in the cylinder core. In the absence of a coin inserted in the lock housing, a blocking device (6, 7) prevents movement of the bolt piece. A decoupling device is designed to decouple the blocking device. The decoupling device comprises a driver (20) and a coupling member (30). The driver is arranged radially outside the follower (4), rotatably about the rotational axis of the follower, and comprises a decoupling member (21, 22) designed to decouple the blocking device. The coupling member (30) is arranged on the follower so that it is radially displaceable between an inner position and an outer position, and comprises an inner (35) and an outer (34) end.

  • Publication number: 20100006391
Abstract: Coin lock comprising a lock housing, a coin opening part (1) with a coin opening having an oblong cross section perpendicular to the direction of inserting the coin, for introducing a coin into the lock housing, and a coin limiting arrangement which is designed to prevent a coin with a diameter bigger than a defined maximum diameter from being introduced into the lock housing through the coin opening. The coin limiting arrangement comprises a blocking element (5, 50, 51) which can be inserted from the outside into the coin opening and which comprises first engaging units which are designed, in engagement with second engaging units arranged at the coin opening part, to enable a detachable fixation of the blocking element in the coin opening at various positions along the lengthways direction of the coin opening's cross section.

  • Patent number: 6823702
Abstract: A cylinder lock-key combination including a cylinder housing, a key and a plug which has a circular-cylindrical barrel surface and which is rotatable in an opening in the housing. The barrel surface of the housing includes a key recess whose width exceeds its depth, and a plurality of code pin channels are preferably disposed in several rows. Code pin tumblers present in the code pin channels co-act with one or more blocking elements, such as pins or side bars, disposed in channels intended to this end. The blocking elements block rotation of the plug when one side surface of an inserted key presents wrong code surfaces. There is provided in this way a compact lock construction, which also enables the use of many code pins.

Abstract: A cylinder lock-key combination includes a cylinder housing (10), a key (30) and a plug (20) which has a circular-cylindrical barrel surface and which is rotatable in an opening (12) in the housing. The barrel surface of the housing includes a key recess (21) whose width exceeds its depth, and a plurality of code pint channels (22). These channels are preferably disposed in several rows. Code pin tumblers present in the code pin channels co-act with one or more blocking elements, such as pins or side bars, disposed in channels (32) intended to this end. The blocking elements block rotation of the plug when one side surface of an inserted key presents wrong code surfaces. There is provided in this way a compact lock construction, which also enables the use of many code pins.

  • Publication number: 20020189308
Abstract: A method of fastening a lock cylinder body in a generally flat element comprises the steps of providing in the element (20) an opening (22) which is defined by at least first and second mutually convergent edges (24a, 24b), and providing in the body (10) first and second grooves (14a, 14b) that are intended for co-action with said edges. The body is then inserted into the opening (22) to a position in which the grooves are level with said edges, whereafter the body is moved in a direction parallel with the plane of the element into an engagement position in which the edges are in engagement with the grooves, therewith to lock the body in an axial direction in this engagement position. Finally, a tongue (26) integral with the flat element is bent to a position in which the tongue lies essentially in the plane of said flat element, so as to lock the body (10) against movement in directions parallel with the plane of the element (20) in said engagement position.

  • Patent number: 5517840
Abstract: A cylinder lock-key combination includes a cylinder housing (2) and a plug (3) provided with a key slot (3a). A row of pin tumblers (5) coact with a side bar (6) in a manner to prevent the side bar moving to its release position unless the correct key (4) is inserted into its operative position in the plug (3). The side bar (6) is activated at the ends of the side bar by one or more driving pins (7) which coact with the key side surface and which are guided in the plug for movement at right angles to the plane of the key slot (3a) and which function to press the side bar to its locking position as the key is withdrawn from its operative position.
