  • Patent number: 10200590
Abstract: Provided are an image pickup apparatus and a method of controlling the image pickup apparatus, capable of quickly determining possibility of refocusing for bringing each of objects located at different view angle positions on a photographed image into focus. The image pickup apparatus includes an acquisition unit configured to acquire an image photographed by using an image pickup element having a pupil-division pixel area together with photographing information of an optical system at a time of photographing, an object detecting unit configured to calculate an object area of an object and to calculate an object distance corresponding to a depth distance to the object, and a refocusing possibility determining unit configured to determine possibility of refocusing for bringing the object into focus by calculating a refocusable view angle range and determining whether or not the object area is included in the refocusable view angle range through comparison.

    Assignee: Canon Kabushiki Kaisha
Inventors: Hiroshi Yamazaki, Yoshinobu Sato, Akemi Kikuchi, Daisuke Toguchi
  • Patent number: 10147016
Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a processing unit that image-processes a plurality of image data using different parameters, a comparison unit that compares image processing results, and a determination unit that determines, from the plurality of parameters, a parameter based on a comparison result by the comparison unit, in which image data is processed using the parameter determined by the determination unit.

  • Patent number: 9070008
Abstract: In a personal authentication apparatus that compares input feature information with feature information stored in advance as dictionary data, thereby calculating a similarity and recognition a person, when additionally storing feature information in the dictionary data, the feature information is compared with the feature information of the same person already stored in the dictionary data. Pieces of feature information are put into groups for the same person based on the similarities and stored in the dictionary data.

  • Patent number: 8571207
Abstract: A hash value calculation apparatus, which calculates a hash value of a message, includes: an input unit adapted to input an extended block obtained from a message to be processed; a hash value calculation unit adapted to execute a hash value calculation of the input block and to output a hash intermediate value; a plurality of intermediate value storage units adapted to store the hash intermediate value output by the hash value calculation unit for the message to be processed; an output unit adapted to output a hash intermediate value associated with all blocks of the message to be processed as a hash value of the message; and a hash value calculation control unit adapted to control hash value calculations for a plurality of messages by switching the intermediate value storage units used to store the hash intermediate value output from the hash value calculation unit.
