  • Patent number: 7433722
Abstract: A portable phone 1 includes a first housing 2, a second housing 4 having a display section 14, and a hinge section 3 that connects the first housing 2 and the second housing 4 so that the display section is positioned horizontally when placing the portable phone 1 on an object. The hinge section 3 includes a first rotation axis 5 that allows the hinge section 3 and the second housing 4 to rotate toward the first housing 2 and with a second rotation axis 6 that is disposed orthogonal to the first rotation axis 5 in a region apart from the second central face ?2 in the second housing 4. The distance between the second rotation axis 6 and the side face 4b on the second rotation axis 6 part with respect to the second central face ?2 in the second housing 4 is configured in such a way as to either substantially equal or be shorter than the distance between the first rotation axis 5 and the front face 7a of the first housing 2.

  • Publication number: 20020022030
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for increasing a memory T cell response by administering to a patient a composition that increases the activity of IL-15 and that decreases the activity of IL-2. Also disclosed is a vaccine adjuvant useful for increasing memory T cell responses. A method for inhibiting undesirable immune responses, such as autoimmune responses, is also disclosed, as is a composition useful in such a method. The composition includes a compound that increases the activity of IL-2 and in one embodiment, further includes a compound that decreases the activity of IL-15.

  • Patent number: 4786626
Abstract: A solid base with improved properties, such as excellent catalytic performance, is obtainable by reacting alumina with an alkali metal hydroxide in a reaction system at a temperature of 200.degree. to 500.degree. C. to form a reaction product; adding an alkali metal to the reaction system; and reacting the reaction product with the added alkali metal at a temperature of 180.degree. to 350.degree. C., or reacting water-containing alumina with an alkali metal in an amount of 1.01 to 2 times the molar equivalents of water contained in the water-containing alumina wherein a portion of the alkali metal of an amount not more than a molar equivalent of water contained in a reaction system at a temperature in a range between a melting point of the alkali metal and 500.degree. C. to form a reaction product and the reaction product is reacted with the rest of the alkali metal at a temperature of 180.degree. to 350.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4711873
Abstract: A solid base with improved properties, particularly excellent catalytic performance is prepared by reacting alumina and an alkali metal hydroxide at a temperature of from 200.degree. to 500.degree. C. and followed by reacting the resultant product with an alkali metal at a temperature of from 180.degree. to 350.degree. C. or reacting water-containing alumina and an alkali metal in such an amount that corresponds to a molar equivalent of water contained in alumina at a temperature in a range between a melting point of the alkali metal and 500.degree. C. and then reacting the reaction product with an alkali metal at a temperature of from 180.degree. to 350.degree. C.
