  • Publication number: 20230392413
Abstract: An example trim generally includes an escutcheon, an indicator plate, a cam, and a backplate. The indicator plate is movably mounted in the escutcheon, and has a first position in which a first indicium is aligned with an escutcheon window of the escutcheon, and a second position in which a second indicium is aligned with the escutcheon window. The cam is rotatably mounted in the escutcheon for rotation between a first handing orientation and a second handing orientation. The cam is operable to move the indicator plate between the first position and the second position when the cam is in each of the handing orientations. The backplate is coupled to the escutcheon and at least partially encloses the indicator plate within the escutcheon. The cam is operable to rotate between the first handing orientation and the second handing orientation while the backplate remains coupled to the escutcheon.

  • Publication number: 20230313585
Abstract: An exemplary modular hold-open device is configured for use with a door closer comprising a body, a pinion rotatably mounted to the body, and an armature connected with the pinion. The modular hold-open device is configured to be mounted to the door closer, to selectively prevent rotation of the pinion by exerting on the pinion a resistive torque in a door-opening direction, and to cease exerting the resistive torque in response to a door-closing torque on the pinion exceeding a threshold torque to thereby permit rotation of the pinion in the door-closing direction.

  • Publication number: 20230127226
Abstract: An example lockset generally includes a housing, a bolt, a turnhub, and a spindle. The bolt is mounted in the housing for movement between an extended position and a retracted position. The turnhub is rotatably mounted in the housing and engaged with the bolt. Rotation of the turnhub in a bolt-extending direction drives the bolt toward the extended position, and rotation of the turnhub in a bolt-retracting direction opposite the bolt-extending direction drives the bolt toward the retracted position. The spindle engaged with the turnhub, is operable to exert torque on the turnhub in the bolt-retracting direction, and is selectively operable to exert torque on the turnhub in the bolt-extending direction. The housing includes a pair of stops configured to limit rotation of the spindle to a predetermined angular range.

  • Patent number: 10814897
Abstract: A support assembly includes a body, a first bearing assembly, a first fastener, and a leg. The body includes a first aperture centered on an axis. The first bearing assembly includes a first ball bearing. The first fastener is threadably engaged with the first aperture. The leg is selectively repositionable along the axis. The leg includes a support. The first fastener is configured to cooperate with the leg to cause repositioning of the support relative to the body in response to rotation of the first fastener within the first aperture.

  • Patent number: 10591044
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring belt tension and determining belt lifespan in a TRS are disclosed. An embodiment of a self-tensioner can include a sensor connected to a self-tensioner in a belt driven system and a magnet that passes over the sensor to generate a signal. The sensor detects the signal, and the signal in conjunction with an angle of the magnet is converted into a voltage value. The method can include a controller connected to the self-tensioner, the controller converts the voltage value into a tension value, and stores the tension value among a plurality of premeasured tension values in a memory, where the controller compares the tension value and the plurality of premeasured tension values to determine a belt tension condition of the belt in the belt-driven system.

  • Patent number: 10520020
Abstract: A support assembly includes a body and a bearing assembly. The body defines a first opening. The bearing assembly is selectively repositionable within the first opening. The bearing assembly includes a housing, a socket, and a ball. The housing defines a second opening. The socket is positioned at least partly within the second opening and coupled to the housing. The ball bearing is positioned within the socket. The ball bearing is configured to rotate with respect to the housing. The bearing assembly is selectively repositionable between a first position, where the ball bearing extends from the body, and a second position, where the ball bearing does not extend from the body.
