    Abstract: An apparatus for and method of preventing activation of an audible incoming call indicator is provided. The prevention (307) may be performed at the infrastructure, such as at the mobile switching center (123), by not directing calls to the communication device (119 or 121). The prevention (209) may also be performed at the communication device (119 or 121), such as a cellular phone or pager, by deactivating the audible call indicator and/or turning to a vibrating or other non-audible call indicator.
