  • Patent number: 6332350
Abstract: A leak tester is used to perform a leak test on a work such as a wheel by detecting trace gas being leaked from the work. Herein, the work is installed in a chamber and is tightly held between seals. A leak tester seal is constructed using a work seal base, on which a number of channels are formed like circular rings, which are sequentially arranged with equal intervals. For example, an interval of distance between centers of adjoining channels is set at 1.27 cm to cope with different kinds of tire wheels, diameters of which are determined in accordance with the prescribed standard. Incidentally, each channel has a rectangular shape in section. In addition, a number of sealing members, made of elastic material, are formed like circular rings, which are fitted into the channels respectively. At installation of the work into the chamber of the leak tester, a rim of the wheel is pressed against the sealing member buried in the channel of the work seal base.

  • Patent number: 6279814
Abstract: A punching pin of a soldering apparatus cuts out a solder piece from a solder plate onto a feeder pin, and the feeder pin presses the solder piece against a predetermined junction of a conductive wiring pattern incorporated in a printed circuit board; then, an electric circuit component is mounted on the printed circuit board, and is strongly soldered to the conductive wiring pattern, because the punching pin and the feeder pin supply a fixed amount of solder to the predetermined junction.

  • Patent number: 6073327
Abstract: A reusable plug device for providing sealing of an opening of a rim of a wheel for leak testing has a simple structure and facilitates installation/removal of the plug device using a simple insertion tool and a removal tool. The plug body has an axially extending cavity for receiving the insertion tool to enable the plug body to be inserted until a flange section of the plug body abuts the surface of the workpiece. The flange section serves as a stopper to indicate the stop position and ensures a uniform installation of the plug device in each workpiece. For removal of the plug body, the removal tool is inserted into the cavity and the removal tool is pushed in the insertion direction, so that the plug body and the flange section both collapse inward into the cavity to enable the plug device to be simply pushed out through the opening section.

  • Patent number: 5259722
Abstract: A robot hand is implemented by a wrist mechanism coupled with a retaining member for allowing a work to rotate around a first axis, and the wrist mechanism comprises a first bracket member rotational around a second axis and a second bracket member holding the retaining member and rotational with respect to the first bracket member around a third axis, wherein the first to third axes cross at a virtual point within a virtual space occupied by the work so that a distance between the virtual point and a center of the work is decreased, thereby delicately controlling the attitude of the work.

  • Patent number: 5148518
Abstract: A circuit for converting a color code to a gradation code includes a detector for detecting the number of color codes to used in display of one frame from a series of input color codes, a gradation code assigning unit for assigning gradation codes having substantially the same gray level differences to the color codes to be used in accordance with the detected number of color codes, and a gradation code output unit for outputting, in accordance with each of the input color codes, a gradation code assigned to the color code. The gradation has n levels. If the number of color codes to be used is m (m<n), gradation codes to be assigned are generated by k-bit rotating numerals assigned to the color codes to be used. k satisfies a relation of m.times.2.sup.k .ltoreq.n<m.times.2.sup.k+1.

  • Patent number: 5008846
Abstract: In a laptop computer normally equipped with a removable flat panel display and having the option of being equipped with an external display, the removal of the flat panel display is detected when it is removed, thereby disabling the supply of power, control signals and data to the display. The supply of power, control signals and data to the display is not started unless the removable display is connected to the main system and a reset signal is generated by a power switch of the system or a reset switch. When the display is being connected to the main system, therefore, the supply of power, control signals and data to the display is disabled without fail.
