  • Patent number: 5724922
Abstract: A low-temperature steam generating device comprises a pressure reducing unit 2 that lowers the pressure of steam to below atmospheric pressure by means of a vacuum pressure reducing valve 3 and a cooling unit 4 that changes steam with reduced pressure into saturated steam by lowering the temperature of the steam. The vacuum pressure reducing valve 3 is controlled based on the pressure and temperature of the steam with reduced pressure, whereas the cooling unit has a spray nozzle 5 that sprays cooling liquid into a passageway 61 at the entry end of a cooler proper 6 through which the steam with reduced pressure is admitted. The cooler proper 6 has a cylinder 60 through which the steam with reduced pressure passes and multistage constricting plates 65 disposed in the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 5611673
Abstract: To ensure the effective recovery of the condensate from steam-using apparatus, together with leaked steam from the trap and residual air in the piping, a condensate recovering vacuum pump is equipped with a jet pump comprising a vacuum chamber into which a condensate inlet port opens, a convergent cylindrical segment opening into the vacuum chamber and having a constricting cross-sectional area, a throat segment adjoining the convergent cylindrical segment and having a substantially uniform cross-sectional area, a divergent segment flaring from the throat segment, and a nozzle having an orifice at the tip thereof that protrudes somewhat into the convergent cylindrical segment from the side of the vacuum chamber, with the inside wall of the tip of the nozzle flaring so that a jet stream expelled therefrom diverges toward the internal surface thereof near the rear end of the throat segment. The jet pump is disposed so that the feedwater ejected therefrom issues forth upward.

  • Patent number: 5511950
Abstract: A condensate recovering vacuum pump uses the condensate in a condensate tank as the boiler feed water. A circulating pump supplies the feed water to the feed-water ejection nozzle of a jet pump. The condensate collected from the steam trap of the steam-using equipment is returned to the condensate tank together with the feed water. The penstock of a tank water level gauge is connected to the condensate tank through a throttle orifice while the upper part of the penstock is connected to the condensate tank 14 through an equalizing pipe. Water-level sensors to detect the water levels required for control are provided in the penstock. The condensate recovered by the jet pump from the trap of the steam-using equipment contains leaked steam and residual air in the piping.

  • Patent number: 4556018
Abstract: A steam boiler having a steam accumulator connected between the boiler and a user, a flow meter provided on the inlet side of the steam accumulator, and a pressure detector provided on the steam accumulator for detecting the internal pressure thereof, wherein the steam boiler is arranged to detect by the flow meter the steam flow rate on the inlet side of the steam accumulator, which is varied in the fashion of following the mean value of steam load, to detect the internal pressure of the steam accumulator by the pressure detector, and to calculate the steam load on the outlet side of the steam accumulator by a steam load detector on the basis of signals of detected steam flow rate and pressure variation.

  • Patent number: 4150916
Abstract: An axial flow inducer for hydraulic devices is disclosed. The inducer is coaxially arranged in front of a fluid suction inlet side of a main impeller of an hydraulic device, for example, a pump and constituted by at least two axial flow blade parts which are constructed and arranged so as to prevent an occurrence of noise over all flow amount region of the impeller.
