  • Publication number: 20090100767
Abstract: There is a need for being able to excellently audiovisually receive contents without disordering a room atmosphere. An audiovisual room 1 is provided with one wall including an inner wall 2 and an outer wall 3. Part or all of the innerwall 2 forms a rear-projection screen 6C or a diaphragm (speaker unit) 6A. Equipment such as a projector 10 and an amplifier is placed in a space between the inner wall 2 and the outer wall 3. The space is large enough for a person to enter. Accordingly, a serviceperson etc. can enter the space to easily do works such as maintaining the equipment. The equipment such as the projector is not placed in the audiovisual room 1, making it possible to audiovisually receive contents without disordering a room atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20080165992
Abstract: An output control system includes a plurality of output control apparatuses, the output control apparatuses controlling audio signals supplied to respective two-dimensionally arranged loudspeakers, including at least two loudspeakers in a vertical direction, and at least two loudspeakers in a horizontal direction, the audio signals respectively corresponding to images displayed on an array of a plurality of displays forming a multi-display apparatus. Each of the output control apparatuses includes a communication unit for exchanging information relating to one of a state and a process result of own apparatus with another output control apparatus, and a signal processing unit for processing an audio signal to be output to the corresponding loudspeaker based on the information relating to the other output control apparatus received via the communication unit.

  • Patent number: 6985186
Abstract: A coefficient data generating apparatus includes a coefficient data generator and an estimation predictive calculation circuit. The coefficient data generator generates for each class coefficient data for an estimation expression which is used to obtain horizontal and vertical resolution corresponding to parameters input from a remote control transmitter by a user. The coefficient data is stored in a coefficient data memory. The estimation predictive calculation circuit generates based on an estimation expression HD pixel data constituting an output picture signal by using other coefficient data read from the coefficient data memory, and SD pixel data of prediction taps. The coefficient data is generated by linearly adding pieces of coefficient-generating data, and the output picture signal can be obtained so as to corresponds to the input parameters. This makes it possible to freely control the resolution of a displayed picture.

  • Publication number: 20060004568
Abstract: Speech likeliness or a degree of speech is determined with a simple configuration or with a small amount of processing, and speech parts are separated from an input sound signal. The input sound signal is subjected to a waveform slicing process in frame units. The increase and decrease rate of a half wavelength in the frame is computed. The rate of a zero cross in the frame is computed. The increase and decrease rate of a half wavelength is computed by determining the rate of the portion where the upward half-wavelength or the downward half-wavelength of the waveform of the input sound signal changes to increase and decrease alternately or to decrease and increase alternately. The degree of speech is determined using each rate. Speech processing for separating or accentuating/attenuating speech and background noise in accordance with the degree of speech is performed on the sound signal for each frame.

  • Publication number: 20050195990
Abstract: In a sound-source signal separating method, a target sound-source signal in an input audio signal is enhanced, the input audio signal being from a mixture of acoustic signals from a plurality of sound sources picked up by a plurality of sound pickup devices. The pitch of the target sound-source signal in the input audio signal is detected, and the target sound-source signal is separated from the input audio signal based on the detected pitch and the enhanced sound-source signal.

  • Publication number: 20050073986
Abstract: The present invention relates to a signal processing system, a signal processing apparatus and method, a recording medium, and a program in which high frequency components of a narrow-range signal having suppressed high frequency components can be restored with high accuracy. A narrow-range audio signal having low frequency components is divided into frames by a frame-unit dividing unit 11, and is spectral-transformed into a signal on a frequency domain by a DCT transform unit 12. A learning-produced-data table 14 extracts, at an address corresponding to a class code supplied from a classifying unit 13, high-frequency-component DCT spectrum data. In a spectrum combining unit 16, the extracted high-frequency-component DCT spectrum data is combined with low-frequency-component DCT spectrum data output from the DCT transform unit 12. Subsequently, a broad-range audio signal having combined high frequency components and low frequency components is output. The present invention can be applied to cellular phones.
