Abstract: System, method and computer program product for searching through multiple databases based on a search expression. Distribution of records corresponding to search keys in the database is defined. The search expression is divided into multiple search expressions based in part on the defined distribution of records. Respective, target search ranges are determined for the multiple search expressions such that a number of records to be searched with each of the multiple search expressions is approximately constant. The multiple search expressions are executed in their respective, target search ranges. The search ranges can also be determined for the multiple search expressions based in part on search rates through respective search ranges.

Abstract: The digital image recording system of the present invention comprises event storage unit for storing, on occurrence of an event, the order of such occurrence, importance level storage unit for storing the importance level of the event, and image acquisition unit for sequentially importing the image information from a plurality of image taking unit connection with each event and recording it in accordance with the information stored in these storage unit. On generation of an alarm, the image acquisition unit also stores, by multiprocessing, alarm image information provided from corresponding image taking unit. On occurrence of an event, the event storage unit stores the channel number for the corresponding image taking unit in the order of event occurrence, but does not additionally store such channel if the event storage unit already contains the same channel number as the one for the image taking unit in connection with the event occurrence.

Abstract: A holding chuck has a clamping device for firmly holding the tire-wheel in the position aligned with a center axis of a holding chuck. Chatter-suppressing dampers are disposed on an intermediate plate fitted around the chuck. The dampers are disposed on circles concentric with the center axis of the holding chuck. Each of the dampers has a damping rod extending in the direction parallel to the center axis and abutting a rim of the wheel. A damper cover is disposed between the rim of the wheel and the dampers and fastened to the holding chuck. The damper cover has slot holes disposed on a circle concentric with the center axis of the chuck which allow the damping rods of the dampers disposed on only one of the concentric circles to extend therethrough and abut the rim of the wheel.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method are provided for protecting a vacuum pump from being overloaded while maintaining the vacuum condition. A pump-protecting device comprises a power detector for detecting power consumption of a motor for driving a vacuum pump as a load received by the motor, and a control means for decreasing the speed of revolution of the motor when the value of power consumption detected by the power detector is equal to or greater than a predetermined value.

The disclosure contains information relative to commercial production of the said copolymer and detailed teachings relative to the preparation of catalyst for use in the said process.
