  • Patent number: 5564083
Abstract: The antenna element mounting of the present invention enables an antenna to be mounted between the printed circuit boards of a radio instead of along side the boards. The shielding of the printed circuit boards has an indentation along one edge of each shield. When the shields are mated, the indentations form a channel into which the antenna is mounted.

  • Patent number: 5211128
Abstract: An automobile meter device of the type having a self-acting light-emitting needle or pointer is disclosed in which first and second current supply terminals connected with first and second electrodes of a light-emitting element are disposed on opposite side of a pointer boss. The current supply terminals include plug-in sockets extending parallel to a longitudinal axis of the pointer shaft. When the pointer boss is fitted over a meter shaft to assemble the pointer with a pointer drive unit, the sockets are automatically fitted over connector pins of fourth current supply terminals which are connected with a power source. With this construction, the meter can be assembled efficiently with utmost ease. The pointer boss may be electrically conductive and connected with one of the electrodes of the light-emitting element in which instance one of the current supply terminals may be omitted.

  • Patent number: 4458108
Abstract: A piercing fluid-tight connector device for use with ultra-low temperature cable for supplying external electrical current to a motor of a pump located in an accumulation tank or vessel. An insulating sleeve having a flange with a female thread at an inner peripheral surface of the sleeve is threadingly engaged with an electrically conductive rod with a male thread thereof. A sealing member is interposed between the sleeve and rod. The coupled sleeve and rod extend through an aperture in a main metal body with the flange of the insulating sleeve and the metal body being in contact with each other, preferably through a packing, so as to provide a fluid-tight structure.

  • Patent number: 4457157
Abstract: A process and a device for expanding or contracting the end of a pipe are disclosed. First an ironing die or punch is put over or into the end of the pipe. Then the end of the pipe is expanded or contracted by a rod form expanding punch or a tube form reducing die. Then, with this punch or die still in place, the ironing die or punch is pulled over or through the end of the pipe, so as to pinch the wall of the pipe between itself and the punch or die, and thereby the wall of the pipe is ironed so as to release any strains that may have been caused in it by the expanding or contracting process. Thereby more accurate pipe ends can be formed simply and reliably.

  • Patent number: 4381856
Abstract: In repairing lining damage in a blast furnace, the furnace is blown down after lowering the burden inside to below the damaged part. Then a plurality of openings and a refractories filling aperture are provided through the furnace wall in the damaged part. A preliminarily prepared panel is lowered down through an opening in the furnace top to a position opposite to the damaged part. One end of a string-like member whose other end is fastened to the panel is drawn outside the furnace through one of the openings. The whole length of the string-like member is protectively covered by a single or double support tube and stretched therethrough. Monolithic refractories are forced in through the refractories filling aperture into a clearance between the damaged part and panel either during blowing down or after blowing in.

  • Patent number: 4337382
Abstract: A locked-type push-button device which has a plurality of push buttons and only one of the push buttons can be locked in the depressed state when it is depressed. A mechanism includes a cam for preventing the simultaneous locking of two adjacent push buttons, which has nearly a semicircular shape in cross section. The cam has notches at positions corresponding to the positions of the push buttons, and the notches each have a width greater than the width of the respective push buttons. The notches are alternately arrayed on opposite sides of the cam, and is thus urged to turn in the opposite directions when it is depressed by the neighboring push buttons.

  • Patent number: 4262504
Abstract: Disclosed is a locking device for locking a door and the like, suitable for use in an electric locking system. The device has a dead bolt which is held in a retracted position within a housing when the door is open, and an actuating member adapted to be partially projected out of the housing when the door is open. The actuating member is slidably mounted in the housing and has an inclined surface acting as a cam surface for engagement with the end surface of the door. The actuating member is so inter-related with the dead bolt that the latter is driven into a corresponding hole in the door jam as the slidable member is depressed by the door, in the course of closing of the door. An electromagnetic plunger is provided for allowing the retraction of the dead bolt in accordance with a predetermined specific electric signal. A manually operative member is associated with the electromagnetic plunger to allow a manual unlocking if necessary.
