  • Patent number: 9281757
Abstract: A voltage conversion device includes: first and second loop circuits having a common inductance element. Electric current alternately flows through the first or second loop circuit as a first switching element of the first loop circuit is turned on or off. A magnetic field that is formed when the first switching element is turned on and that penetrates through the first loop circuit and a magnetic field that is formed when the first switching element is turned off after it is turned on and that penetrates through the second loop circuit have the same direction. All elements that constitute the first and second loop circuits are arranged on the same surface of a substrate. The second loop circuit is connected to a second direct-current power source. The first loop circuit is connected to a first direct-current power source.

  • Patent number: 6163750
Abstract: When a car is traveling ahead of the car on which a route guidance device of this invention is carried, the route guidance device determines the distance D to the preceding vehicle and judges whether or not an intersection where the driver is to be guided is within the distance D from the preset location of the device-loaded vehicle. Namely, the device finds the timing at which the preceding vehicle enters the intersection. At that timing, the device gives a guidance based on the behavior of the preceding vehicle by announcing such a message that "Turn left at the intersection the preceding vehicle is now at", "Turn left at the intersection where the preceding vehicle is turning", "Turn left at the intersection the preceding vehicle is now passing straight through.", etc. Therefore, easily understandable guidance can be given at an intersection where the driver is to be guided.

  • Patent number: 5933080
Abstract: A Mayday contact address database (20) is connected to a navigation control (10). The Mayday contact address database (20) stores emergency contacts which shall be given an emergency report in what priority according to factors such expressway, ordinary road, human involved accident or damage only accident. Therefore, emergency reports can be made in an appropriate order according to the Mayday contact database (20). Transmission methods can be determined according to stored data. By transmitting a Mayday standby call from a two-way communications device (22) to a Mayday center (24), the Mayday center (24) presumes the occurrence of an emergency if no reset call has been received within a predetermined time.

  • Patent number: 5568390
Abstract: A navigation system to be mounted on a vehicle for carrying out a route search and displaying the searched route. Traffic jam information and the like are obtained by an beacon receiver and an input part inputs time as a driving condition. An ECU executes a predetermined calculation based on map data of a CD-ROM and traffic jam data and to obtain a range and routes reachable within the input time and to display the same. In case of residual fuel as a condition, the reachable range by this fuel is displayed. A display of gasoline stands as information for expanding reachability is also executed. Hence, a driver can plan a driving based on these information. Also, a reachable range within 2 hours is displayed and the use of railways is guided when the driver cannot reach the destination within a predetermined time.
