    Abstract: A detection device includes: a substrate having a sensor region in which photosensors are arranged in a first direction and a second direction. In the sensor region, the substrate includes: read control scan lines extending in the first direction and configured to transmit read control signals; and output signal lines extending in the second direction. The photosensors includes: dummy elements comprising first photodiodes and arranged along a contour of the sensor region; and detection elements comprising second photodiodes and arranged on an inner side of a dummy region in which the dummy elements are arranged. The dummy elements are coupled to neither the read control scan lines nor the output signal lines. The detection elements are coupled to the read control scan lines and the output signal lines and are configured to, after receiving the read control signals, output signals generated by the first photodiodes to the output signal lines.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal panel and a controller. The liquid crystal panel includes a pixel with a pixel memory circuit configured to store a video signal, and a plurality of polarity signal output circuits controlled by a polarity control signal and configured to supply a polarity signal to the pixel. The controller supplies the polarity control signal to the liquid crystal panel. Each of the polarity signal output circuit sequentially outputs a polarity signal of polarity corresponding to the polarity control signal supplied by the controller. The controller outputs a clock signal to drive each of the polarity signal output circuit to the liquid crystal panel in a certain period of time.

A one-side opening part is provided continuously along an edge part of the display region on the passivation film so that the electrode part is disposed. Electric discharge is caused between the first electrode 12 and the second electrode 13 so as to produce plasma in a gas region in the liquid 17 in the liquid storage section and produce hydroxyl radical from water contained in the liquid 17 and oxygen contained in the gas. A voltage controller 60 controls a voltage applied by a plasma power source 15 depending on conditions.

The second driver circuit including a second sequential circuit is electrically connected with the even scanning lines, and supplies the scanning signals to the even scanning lines in order. The timing control circuit generates first and second synchronization signals, and supplies the first synchronization signal to the first driver circuit and the second synchronization signal to the second driver circuit. The first and second driver circuits supply the scanning signals to the scanning lines in order for every line upon receiving the first synchronization signal and the second synchronization signal from the timing control circuit.
