  • Patent number: 10322757
Abstract: A lower vehicle structure includes a floor panel, a battery, a first buffer, and a cylindrical exhaust pipe. The battery is located below the floor panel. The first buffer is located below the floor panel at an outer side of the battery in a widthwise direction of the vehicle. The first buffer is configured to deform in the widthwise direction in order to absorb an impact. The exhaust pipe is located below the floor panel. The exhaust pipe extends in a front-to-rear direction of the vehicle. A portion of the exhaust pipe is located between the battery and the first buffer in the widthwise direction. The first buffer includes a projection that projects toward the battery. The projection includes a distal end located downward from a center axis of the exhaust pipe.
