  • Patent number: 10848646
Abstract: There is provided a reproduction device that outputs a video signal to a display device via predetermined communication, the video signal including a video having pictures and corresponding pieces of image characteristic information. The reproduction device includes: an obtaining unit that obtains a first time difference between a timing at which the display device displays one picture among the pictures and a timing used by the display device to display one of the pieces of image characteristic information corresponding to the one picture; an adjuster that adjusts at least one of a timing at which the pictures are outputted and a timing at which the pieces of image characteristic information are outputted to reduce the first time difference; and an output unit that outputs the pictures and the pieces of image characteristic information via the predetermined communication at the time adjusted by the adjuster.

  • Patent number: 10771840
Abstract: A sink device is bi-directionally communicably connected to the source device. The sink device includes a first memory, and a controller. Stored in the first memory is a plurality of pieces of audio format information including information representing an audio format that the sink device can process. The controller selects, from among the plurality of pieces of audio format information stored in the first memory, one piece of audio format information corresponding to receiver format information representing an audio format that a receiver device connected to the sink device can process. The controller then outputs the selected audio format information to the source device.

  • Patent number: 6691072
Abstract: A mark length selection apparatus is provided with a mark length measuring unit for measuring mark lengths of a signal which is read from an optical disc; a mark length selection unit for dividing one of continuous two mark lengths by the other mark length, which mark lengths are measured by the mark length measuring unit, and selecting some mark lengths from the mark lengths measured by the mark length measuring unit, on the basis of a result of comparison performed between a result of the division and a predetermined threshold value, and outputting the selected mark lengths; and a maximum mark length detection unit for detecting a maximum mark length that is the longest mark length among the mark lengths outputted from the mark length selection unit 120. Therefore, a maximum mark length can be detected while eliminating improper mark lengths which are caused by flaws or contamination on the optical disk.
