  • Publication number: 20060103906
Abstract: An optical scanning apparatus for correcting the curvature of a scanning line effectively by a small number or parts, having a rotary polygon mirror for scanning a ray of light, and a reflecting mirror formed over an entire area in the scanning direction of the ray of light, and scanning the ray of light on an image bearing member, the reflecting mirror is nipped and held between a support member for supporting the reflecting mirror and a pressure member for pressing the reflecting mirror toward the support member side, and the pressure member is movable in a main scanning direction.

  • Publication number: 20060061865
Abstract: The optical scanning apparatus includes a polygonal rotatable mirror which deflects a light beam emitted from a light source, a drive motor which rotates said polygonal rotatable mirror, and an optical box which holds said drive motor, wherein an fitting hole in which a bearing of said drive motor engages is provided in said optical box, and a wall surface of this fitting hole has notch portions partially arranged. Thereby, the heat release property of the bearing of the polygonal rotatable mirror drive motor becomes good.

  • Publication number: 20030090563
Abstract: An image forming apparatus have a light source, rotational polygon mirrors, reflecting mirrors, lenses. The polygon mirrors and said lenses are mounted on an optical box. The reference surface for mounting of the frame of the optical box on which the lenses are mounted is disposed in substantially parallel with the reference surface for mounting of it on which the polygon mirrors are mounted.

  • Patent number: 6392771
Abstract: A bearing device is structured to include a stator portion which includes one of a shaft and a sleeve, a rotor portion which includes the other of the shaft and the sleeve which are structured to be capable of relative rotation therebetween, a first permanent magnet mounted on the rotor portion, and a second permanent magnet mounted at a position opposed to the first permanent magnet. The rotor portion is floated up relative to the stator portion by a magnetic force working between the first permanent magnet and the second permanent magnet. The first permanent magnet is mounted on the upper end portion of the rotor portion, the second permanent magnet is mounted on the upper end portion of the stator portion, and the first permanent magnet and the second permanent magnet are provided in opposed relationship with each other in a circumferential direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the bearing device.

  • Patent number: 6031650
Abstract: In a light deflecting apparatus, a sleeve formed of ceramic material is relatively rotatably fitted onto the periphery of an axis of ceramic material, a rotary polygonal mirror is mounted to a rotor portion including the axis or the sleeve, and the rotor portion is rotated by a driving motor. The axis is a rotary axis, a metal member formed of metal is mounted to the periphery of the rotary axis, and the rotary polygonal mirror is mounted to the metal member.
