  • Patent number: 6717575
Abstract: A primary polygon is processed to generate new secondary polygons utilizing a light source as a base point. A front-side secondary polygon is selected from the secondary polygons and drawn in a blackish color by rendering and hidden surface removal utilizing Z-buffering. Then, back-side secondary polygons are drawn by rendering and hidden surface removal utilizing Z-buffering such that the blackish color in portions of the front-side secondary polygon is eliminated, making these portions transparent.

  • Publication number: 20040005605
Abstract: The present invention relate to a method of detecting a genetic recombinant by using the PCR method. A method of quantitatively detecting method is provided whereby the total content ratio of the genetic recombinants and the individual content ratio of the genetic recombinant in a population containing plural genetic recombinant lines can be quantified. The method of the present invention comprises performing PCR for the DNA sequence specific to the recombinant and the endogenous DNA sequence shared by the species corresponding to the recombinant using, as a standard molecule, a molecule containing the DNA sequence specific to the recombinant and the endogenous DNA sequence shared by the species on the single molecule, and determining the content ratio of the number of molecules thereof.

  • Patent number: 6410303
Abstract: The invention provides a diploid or higher polyploid, practical baker's yeast with good frozen dough resistance. This is produced through mating with one or more NTH1 gene-disrupted, haploid yeasts as produced through gene manipulation of disrupting the NTH1 gene in a haploid yeast of which the diploid is practical baker's yeast. The reduction in the trehalose content of the yeast is significantly prevented even when used in frozen dough, and the frozen dough containing the yeast is well resistant to long-term freezing and storage.

  • Publication number: 20010022586
Abstract: An image drawing technique includes a method of drawing a randomly changing image of an object and a method of drawing a revised image including a shimmering image in a background image. The method of drawing a randomly changing image of an object establishes a drawing pattern of the object, the drawing pattern including a plurality of extraction areas, each extraction area including a portion of the drawing pattern. A portion of the drawing pattern is extracted from one of the extraction areas and is combined with a randomly selected mask pattern to draw a composite image which is output on a monitor. The extracting and combining steps are repeated for a next extraction area located at a predetermined distance in a defined direction from a previous extraction area. The method of drawing a revised image includes randomly altering a portion of the background image to generate an altered image, and combining the altered image and another mask pattern to generate another composite image.

  • Publication number: 20010016511
Abstract: An entertainment system has a normal action rendering means for displaying a normal action image in which at least two hypothetical characters are making a normal action, and a special action rendering means for displaying a special action image in which at least one of the hypothetical characters changes from a normal action to a special action when a predetermined condition is satisfied, and the special action made by the one of the hypothetical characters is completed when a control action made by the user satisfies a predetermined control condition indicated in a guidance, and a image display means for outputting image data stored in an image memory to a display monitor to enable the display monitor to display an image based on the image data.

  • Patent number: 5928925
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to isolate complementary DNA coding for ornithine carbamyltransferase derived from a rice plant, necessary for development of a plant ornithine carbamyltransferase gene mutated to have phaseolotoxin resistance, and further to establish an expression system in microorganisms for simply evaluating the functions of the gene mutated to have resistance. This object is solved by a rice ornithine carbamyltransferase gene coding for a protein consisting of the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO:6 in the Sequence Listing, a plasmid vector containing the gene, and a transformant carrying the plasmid vector.
