  • Publication number: 20170000304
Abstract: An electric vacuum cleaner with power consumption reduced in confirming whether or not a regular secondary battery is attached to a body. The electric vacuum cleaner 1 comprising: a body 2 on which a secondary battery 4 is detachably mountable; an electric blower 8 housed in the body 2, the electric blower 8 being driven by power supplied from the secondary battery 4 and generating negative pressure; a connection determinator 45 that only at a time of the secondary battery 4 being attached to the body 2, transmits a confirmation signal to the secondary battery 4 and verifies if a reception signal received from the secondary battery 4 and verification information match with each other; and a control member 46 that, if the connection determinator 45 confirms a match between the reception signal and the verification information, permits driving of the electric blower 8, and if the connection determinator 45 confirms otherwise, prohibits driving of the electric blower 8.

  • Publication number: 20070050094
Abstract: An electric vacuum cleaner comprises an electric blower having a commutator motor connected to an alternate current power source though a switching element, a current detecting section detecting a load current flowing in the electric blower, a control section generating a control signal that controls the input power to the vacuum cleaner by adjusting a trigger time of the switching element, wherein a current detecting circuit sends a signal having a periodic waveform derived from the alternate current source to the control section. The control section sets an operation mode to a preparation mode or a cleaning mode. Initially, in the preparation mode a correction value of the load current is acquired with the trigger time set at a predetermined point. In the cleaning mode, the input power is controlled by varying the trigger time of the control signal according to a difference between a load current detected by the current detecting section and the correction value acquired in the preparation mode.

  • Publication number: 20060204383
Abstract: An electric vacuum cleaner includes a filter, blower, switching element for switching current flowing through the blower, current detecting section, and control section, wherein the control section includes a first control mode in which an amount of airflow flowing through the filter and the blower is restrained and a second control mode in which an applied power to the blower is maintained to a target value, and selects one of the first and second control modes according to the applied power.

  • Patent number: 7026771
Abstract: A microprocessor of the motor control apparatus acquires a zero-cross detection signal from a zero-cross detection section and a load current from a current detection section at a prescribed sampling period. The processor obtains a load current instant value every sampling period and a corresponding sine-functional value from a sine-functional value table to calculate a compensation value for the load current instant value. The processor also calculates a load current compensation total value by adding the compensation value by the predetermined number of times of sampling and compares the load current compensation total value with a load current reference value to obtain a difference therebetween. In response to the difference, an instruction value for delay time that determines the output timing of a trigger signal to a switching element is changed so that power consumption of the motor falls within a prescribed range.
