Abstract: An image processing apparatus, includes an image reading part configured to read an image of a document; and an image storage part configured to store image data read by the image reading part; wherein the image reading part includes a part configured to read a range of a part of the image of the document; the image processing apparatus further includes: a first calculating part configured to calculate image data of a one surface of the document based on a size of the image data of the range read by the image reading part; and a second calculating part configured to calculate the number of pages of image data of the document which can be stored by the image storage part based on the result of calculation by the first calculating part.

Abstract: In a disclosed image forming apparatus, an original is scanned and image data of the original are obtained. The data size of the image data corresponding to one page of the original is measured. The image data obtained are stored in or deleted from a memory. A storable number of pages of the original that can be stored in the memory is calculated based on the data size measured and available space in the memory. In response to the storable number of pages calculated being less than a total number of pages of the original, the image data of the original is successively stored in and deleted from the memory.

Abstract: An image communication apparatus is disclosed. The image communication apparatus includes an image forming unit for forming image information, an image communication unit for transmitting the image information, and a removable media access unit for accessing information stored in a removable medium as an external storage medium loaded therein. If the removable medium is loaded in the removable media access unit, the removable media access unit reads destination information stored in the removable medium, and the image communication unit transmits the image information according to the destination information.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a print-request information inputting unit, an image reading unit, a plurality of image forming units, a plurality of sheet feeding units, a memory unit and a control unit wherein the control unit reading out, when print-request information is inputted, ID information and device information from a memory unit and selects, based on the plural ID information, the device information and the print-request information, an optimum image forming unit that satisfies the print-request information. The control unit further causes the selected image forming unit to execute print processing.
