  • Publication number: 20160010573
Abstract: A supercharging system includes an internal combustion engine, a supercharger, and an electronic control unit configured to compute an integrated value of the intake air amount during a predetermined period on the basis of a detected result of a first sensor. The predetermined period is a period from a start of an increase in the supercharging pressure to an end of the increase at the time when the intake air amount is increased in a state where no command to reduce the supercharging pressure by a supercharging pressure reduction mechanism is issued. The electronic control unit is configured to acquire a peak supercharging pressure from a detected result of a second sensor. The electronic control unit is configured to determine whether the supercharging system has an abnormality on the basis of the integrated value of the intake air amount and the peak supercharging pressure.

  • Publication number: 20150314779
Abstract: A vehicle includes an engine, a motor, a battery that stores an electric power for driving the motor, and a control apparatus. The control apparatus is configured to control the engine and the motor in one of control modes, the control mode includes a charge sustaining (CS) mode and a charge depleting (CD) mode. During the CS mode, a first determination is made to determine that the engine malfunction has occurred when a number of times of abnormal combustion occurring during a current trip is equal to or larger than a threshold. During the CD mode, instead of or in addition to the first determination, a second determination is made to determine that the engine malfunction has occurred when a cumulative number of times of abnormal combustion is equal to or larger than the threshold.

  • Patent number: 9097193
Abstract: An inter-cylinder air-fuel ratio variation abnormality detection apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus determines imbalance of an air-fuel ratio among the cylinders based on a difference between index values correlated with crank angular velocities detected in a set of opposite cylinders belonging to different banks and having crank angles different from one another by 360°; and carries out an air-fuel ratio feedback process for controlling an amount of injected fuel for each of the banks, wherein the apparatus comprises a correction unit correcting, before determining the air-fuel ratio imbalance, the difference between the index values in a direction of combustion improvement for opposite cylinders that are opposite to cylinders belonging to a bank identical to a bank of a cylinder with the most deviating index value from a standard value among all the cylinders and being other than the cylinder with the most deviating index value.

  • Patent number: 9070215
Abstract: If the size of an error portion within an image of the frame of interest is equal to or larger than a threshold and it is determined that no error portion exists within an image of a frame immediately before the frame of interest, a display unit (115) is caused to display the image of the frame immediately before the frame of interest as the image of the frame of interest. If the size of an error portion within the image of the frame of interest is smaller than the threshold and it is determined that an error portion exists within the image of the frame immediately before the frame of interest, the display unit (115) is caused to display a result obtained by correcting the error portion within the image of the frame of interest using a pixel group surrounding the error portion.

  • Patent number: 9025844
Abstract: In a tomographic image photographing apparatus, a deformation of a volume image is corrected accurately even if an object to be inspected moves when the volume image is acquired. An image processing apparatus acquires a tomographic image of the object to be inspected from combined light beams of return light beams, which is obtained by irradiating the object to be inspected with a plurality of measuring light beams, and corresponding reference light beams. In the image processing apparatus, a photographing unit obtains a tomographic image of a fundus with the plurality of measuring light beams, and a detection unit detects a retina layer from the tomographic image. Based on the detected retina layer, a fundus shape is estimated. Based on the estimated fundus shape, a positional deviation between tomographic images is corrected.
