  • Publication number: 20160270189
Abstract: An illumination system includes a light projection device, an illuminance measurement unit, a lighting device, and a control device. The light projection device projects an image to a space. The illuminance measurement unit measures an illuminance value of a location where the illuminance measurement unit is placed in the space. The lighting device has a dimming function for illuminating the location in the space with a brightness. The control device includes an illuminance setting unit, a difference calculation unit, and an illumination light adjusting unit. The illuminance setting unit sets an illuminance value of the location. The difference calculation unit calculates a difference between the illuminance value set by the illuminance setting unit and the illuminance value measured by the illuminance measurement unit. The illumination light adjusting unit adjusts a brightness of the lighting device such that the difference calculated by the difference calculation unit is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20160270181
Abstract: A lighting control device includes: a candidate color selector; a candidate color adjuster; and a color controller. The candidate color selector selects, in accordance with the indication obtained by the indication obtainer, a plurality of candidate colors to be used for color control of lighting devices, from an image obtained by an image obtainer. The candidate color adjuster makes automatic-mode adjustment which is processing for determining colors reproducible by the lighting devices, in accordance with predetermined indexes and based on the plurality of candidate colors selected by the candidate color selector. The color controller causes the lighting devices to each emit illumination light having the color determined by the candidate color adjuster, by controlling the lighting devices.

  • Publication number: 20160262238
Abstract: An illumination control apparatus including a controller which: in switching a first lighting mode to a second lighting mode when a combination of results of detections by occupancy sensors changes, compares a first priority level pre-assigned to the first lighting mode and a second priority level pre-assigned to the second lighting mode; if the second priority level is lower than the first priority level, maintains the first lighting mode for a predetermined amount of wait time from a moment when the combination of the results of the detections changes, and subsequently switches the first lighting mode to the second lighting mode; and if the second priority level is higher than the first priority level, switches the first lighting mode to the second lighting mode at the moment when the combination of the results of the detections changes.

  • Patent number: 7504782
Abstract: A discharge lamp lighting apparatus comprising a d.c. power source section which rectifies and smoothes an a.c. voltage; a current detecting circuit which detects a current which flows through a discharge lamp; a power source ripple detecting circuit which detects a voltage change of power supplied from the d.c. power source section and outputs a voltage obtained by superimposing the detected voltage over a detected voltage which is available from the current detecting circuit; and a control circuit which controls, based on the output voltage from the power source ripple detecting circuit, an output voltage to the discharge lamp so that the current flowing through the discharge lamp becomes a constant current. A rate of superimposition of the output voltage from the power source ripple detecting circuit may be switched in accordance with the discharge lamp voltage.

  • Patent number: 7432670
Abstract: Even if a DC output voltage of a step-down chopper circuit (3) is lowered from a value in a non-lighted state or a no-load state due to a discharge occurring between conductors (105a) in a cable (104), the turn on detection circuit (26a) can discriminates between lighted and non-lighted states without erroneously determining such a discharge as a discharge in a discharge lamp (4). This allows an operation of the timer (29) to be continued, so that high-voltage pulses are intermittently applied to prevent continuous discharge between the conductors (105) and abnormal heat generation in the cable (104). Further, even if a discharge occurs in an outer tube of the discharge lamp (4), the turn on detection circuit (26a) never erroneously discriminates this discharge as the lighted state. Thus, the lighting device of the present invention can suppress abnormal heat generations in the components and a socket (102).

  • Patent number: 7141937
Abstract: A full bridge circuit including four switching elements (Q1 to Q4) is alternated with a high switching frequency and a series-connected resonance circuit (5) including an inductor (L2) and a capacitor (C2) is made to resonate at a switching frequency of the full bridge circuit multiplied by an integer (for example, frequency multiplied by three), thereby generating a high voltage pulse for start up. After a high-pressure discharge lamp (DL) is started up, the full bridge circuit is alternated with a low switching frequency so as to operate as a step-down chopper for inverting the output polarity, thereby stably supplying rectangular wave voltage of low frequency to the high-pressure discharge lamp (DL) via a filter circuit including an inductor (L1) and a capacitor (C1).
