  • Patent number: 7155081
Abstract: A two-dimensional optical deflector includes a first deflector, which deflects a light beam about a first axis at a high speed, a second deflector, which deflects a light beam about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis at a low speed, and a fixing mechanism, which fixes the first deflector to the second deflector. The second deflector includes a rotation shaft capable of rocking about the second axis. The fixing mechanism includes a fixing member having a rotation shaft fixing hole, which engages with the rotation shaft with almost no space, and a fastener, which decreases the diameter of the rotation shaft fixing hole of the fixing member. The fixing member includes a first deflector mount surface. The first deflector is fixed to the fixing member so that a reflecting surface of the first deflector in a non-actuation state is almost parallel to the first deflector mount surface.

  • Publication number: 20050133692
Abstract: A first amplification unit amplifies at a predetermined amplification rate an output signal from a photodetection unit for detecting an optical signal from a specimen and detecting it. An offset unit assigns offset to an output signal from the photodetection unit. A second amplification unit amplifies at an amplification rate smaller than the amplification rate of the first amplification unit an output signal from the photodetection unit assigned the offset by the offset unit. A rectification unit rectifies an output signal from the second amplification unit. An addition unit adds an output signal from the first amplification unit to an output signal from the rectification unit.

  • Publication number: 20050122577
Abstract: The present invention relates to a confocal microscope and a measuring method by the confocal microscope in which one or a plurality of measuring units to detect a movement amount are disposed facing a Z-stage having a sample laid thereon, the measuring unit detects a relative position between a condensing position of an objective lens and the sample, a maximum value of a change curved line indicated by light intensity information, and a relative position giving this value are estimated based on obtained relative position information, and a plurality of pieces of light intensity information including the maximum light intensity value of the light intensity, and a confocal image is produced using the estimated maximum value of the light intensity and the relative position as reflection luminance information and height information.

  • Patent number: 6072625
Abstract: An optical microscope apparatus includes an illumination optical system for illuminating an observation target object; an observation optical system for introducing an observation image of the observation target object; and an image rotation device provided on a light path common to the illumination optical system and the observation optical system, for rotating the observation image. The image rotation device is arranged so as to reflect a light beam entering thereinto, for odd-numbered times and to thereafter emit the light bean therefrom, and is driven to be rotated around an entering/exiting optical axis, thereby to rotate the observation image.

  • Patent number: 5932871
Abstract: A microscope includes a light source, an objective lens for converging light emitted from the light source onto a sample, and an optical detector for detecting either light from the sample via a confocal point diaphragm or light from the sample which does not pass through the confocal point diaphragm. A range of a focusing point is detected in accordance with the light which does not pass through the confocal diaphragm, and the focusing point is then detected in accordance with the light detected via the confocal point diaphragm in the detected range of the focusing point.
