  • Patent number: 11990646
Abstract: A power storage module includes a plurality of power storage devices and a bus bar electrically connecting the plurality of power storage devices. Each power storage device has a housing and a pair of output terminals disposed on a first surface of the housing. The bus bar has the plurality of terminal connections connected to the output terminals of each power storage device, and a linking part connecting the plurality of terminal connections. Each terminal connection part has a first part connected to each output terminal and a second part continuous from the first part and extending along a second surface spreading in a direction intersecting the first surface of the housing. Each linking part has a third part that connects the second parts of the adjacent terminal connections to each other.

  • Publication number: 20050147592
Abstract: Methods for delivering a heterologous gene to a mammalian subject using recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) virions are described. Recombinant AAV virions containing a heterologous gene encoding a metabolic protein are delivered to a mammalian subject having a metabolic disorder. The rAAV virion-delivered heterologous gene is expressed at a therapeutic level thereby ameliorating a sign or symptom of the metabolic disease. Exemplary examples of metabolic diseases are those caused by defects in aromatic amino acid metabolism. Exemplary examples of heterologous genes include those encoding an aromatic amino acid hydroxylase, aromatic amino acid decarboxylase, and enzymes involved in tetrahydrobiopterin synthesis. Methods for treating phenylketonuria are also described.

  • Publication number: 20030166161
Abstract: Selective amplification of cells is enabled by introducing into cells a gene encoding a fusion protein comprising (a) a ligand-binding domain, (b) a domain that associates when the ligand binds to the domain of (a), and (c) a domain that imparts proliferation activity to the cells upon the association and stimulating the cells with the ligand.

  • Patent number: 5948039
Abstract: A vehicular navigation system includes first and second clocks CLK1 and CLK2 which can be switched to operate either a 320 dot per horizontal line display (aspect ratio=4:3) or a 400 dot per horizontal line display (aspect ratio=16:9). The clock switching is under the control of software writing to a control register 23 which in turn controls switching in an image data memory control unit 24 and a display control unit 34 to process or handle lines of either 320 or 400 pixels.

  • Patent number: 5161433
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for controlling a continuously variable transmission for controlling a speed-change ratio so as to set an input number of revolutions of the continuously variable transmission mounted on a vehicle to a predetermined targeted value on the basis of engine performance at a predetermined throttle opening. The apparatus has a device for imparting an initial value of a range of the targeted value when a change in the throttle opening ceases and a device for changing the range of the targeted value when there is no change in the throttle opening. A range between the upper and lower limits of a targeted engine speed is rendered variable depending on the driver's requirements and the running state, making it possible to properly determine which of the characteristics is to be strengthened among the power performance, fuel consumption performance, control stability, and transmission efficiency.
