The number of fields of view containing the compound having an equivalent circle diameter of 5 ?m or more out of 10 fields of view extracted from the cross-section is 3 or less. In the cross-section, the number density of the compound having an equivalent circle diameter of 1.5 ?m or more and less than 5.0 ?m is 0.0010 per ?m2 or less, and the area ratio of the compound having an equivalent circle diameter of 0.5 ?m or more is 0.1% or more and less than 1.0%.

    Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a fixing device, first and second fans, and a reciprocating portion to reciprocate the fixing device in a widthwise direction of the fixing device. The fixing device includes a fixing film, a pressing roller to form a nip portion where a recording material on which a toner image is carried is nipped and conveyed between the fixing film and the pressing roller and the toner image is fixed on the recording material. The first and second fans send an air from openings thereof toward first and second areas of the fixing film on both end sides in the widthwise direction. A controller changes at least one opening width of the first and second fans depending on a position with respect to the widthwise direction of the fixing device.

Based on the identified data item(s), it is determined whether a profile database includes a profile that includes a data item that matches one of the identified data item(s). In response to a positive determination, profile data about a scanned entity that is the subject of content on the physical medium and that is different than the scanning entity is retrieved from the profile. In response to identifying the profile, the profile data is transmitted over a computer network to be displayed on the computing device of the scanning entity.
