  • Patent number: 10090654
Abstract: A junction box assembly and a retaining system configured to facilitate access to the eyelet terminal and the bottom housing assembly is provided. The junction box assembly includes a top cover removably attached to the bottom housing assembly. The bottom housing assembly includes an eyelet terminal for receiving an electric connection. An eyelet terminal cover covers the eyelet terminal. The retaining system is configured to removably retain the eyelet terminal cover to the top cover. The retaining system includes a locking structure disposed on the top cover. A key is configured to releasably engage the locking structure. A tether may be secured to the key on a first end and the eyelet terminal cover on a second end so as to allow the eyelet terminal cover to be coupled to the top cover or the eyelet terminal cover to be removed from the top cover.

  • Patent number: 9985386
Abstract: A junction box assembly configured to shield the eyelet terminal includes a power distribution box and a bottom housing. A bottom housing is configured to mate with an undersurface of the power distribution box. The eyelet terminal is disposed within the bottom housing. A first connection housing is disposed in the bottom housing. The first connection housing is configured to house a first bus bar having a female connector. The first bus bar is electrically connected to the eyelet terminal. A second connection housing is disposed on an undersurface of the power distribution box. A second bus bar is mounted within an inner space of the power distribution box and a connecting portion of the second bus bar is disposed within the second connection housing. The first connection housing engages the second connection housing within the bottom housing so as provide a shielded.

  • Publication number: 20180083375
Abstract: A power distribution box assembly with a plurality of separating walls to separate different power sources and from each other is provided. The power distribution box assembly includes a plurality of eyelet posts and busbars for powering a plurality of electric devices. First separating walls are configured to separate each eyelet post from each other. Each of the first separating walls is taller than the eyelet posts. A pair of second separating walls spaced apart from each other and open to a slit define a busbar housing. The busbar housing is configured to receive a portion of one of the busbars so as to separate the busbars from each other. Accordingly, the eyelet terminal housing is dimensioned so as to prevent a tool from contacting two eyelet posts or busbars at the same time.

  • Patent number: 9787074
Abstract: Electric junction box assemblies with an access hood for providing access to an eyelet terminal is provided. The electric junction box assembly includes a junction box configured to store electric components. The junction box includes an eyelet terminal support configured to support an eyelet terminal connection. A top cover is mounted onto the junction box. The top cover includes a first cut-out and a hood mounting structure. A hood is shaped so as to both engage and disengage the hood mounting structure and cover the eyelet terminal opening. In one instance the closing member of the hood is configured to engage the hood mounting structure so as to cover the eyelet terminal connection. In another instance, the hood may be disengaged so as to expose the eyelet terminal connection without having to remove the cover from the junction box.

  • Patent number: 9742169
Abstract: An electric junction box assembly configured to help preserve the structural integrity of a bend in a tube is provided. The electric junction box assembly includes a junction box having at least one tube opening. The tube opening extends from an outer surface of the junction box into the inner space of the junction box. The tube opening is configured to hold the bend of the tube. The tube opening includes an outer opening and at least one inner opening. The outer opening is formed on an outer wall of the junction box and the inner opening is formed on an inner wall of the junction box. The inner opening is elevated with respect to the outer opening. Accordingly, the electric junction box assembly distributes the load of the weight of a tube and wire assembly so as to preserve the integrity of the tube and wire assembly.
