  • Publication number: 20050270396
Abstract: In a fold-up type of portable telephone device, the casing to be opened/closed has liquid crystal display devices on its front and back sides, which causes occurrence of noise. In view of this, in the liquid crystal display device of a portable telephone device, a flexible connection substrate is used to integrally form first and second liquid crystal display parts with a driver circuit shared therebetween. The first liquid crystal display part is connected to the flexible connection substrate to which the second liquid crystal display part is connected. The second liquid crystal display device is formed by adding the flexible connection substrate to the first liquid crystal display part, and both are driven by the driver circuit. Not only an alternative display but also simultaneous displays can be selectively performed.

  • Publication number: 20050143148
Abstract: the present invention aims to achieve that geomagnetism can be sensed in high precision while eliminating an adverse influence by magnetic noise with respect to a geomagnetic sensor provided in a housing, and correct azimuth information can be acquired. A portable terminal apparatus according to the present invention is arranged by that both a first housing (11) and a second housing (12) are coupled to each other by way of a hinge portion (13) under pivotable condition, a geomagnetic sensor (33) is provided on a circuit board (32) in the second housing (12), and also, a speaker (19) is provided on the side of a rear surface thereof. Both this geomagnetic sensor (33) and a speaker (19) corresponding to a component for generating magnetic noise which gives an adverse influence with respect to the geomagnetic sensor (33) are provided in the vicinity of each other within the same second housing (12), and both the members are arranged on the same plane.

  • Patent number: 5609561
Abstract: An image pickup unit provided with an image pickup element is of structure capable of being detachably received in an endoscope body or a TV camera. After having been used in observation, the image pickup unit is dismounted, whereby disinfection processing and sterilization processing of the endoscope body from which the image pickup unit is dismounted, or the TV camera can be executed without inviting deterioration and the like of a characteristic of the image pickup unit by a disinfection unit, a sterilization unit or the like.

  • Patent number: 5412478
Abstract: A video processor which forms an endoscope apparatus is capable of selecting an image signal of a plurality of modes outputted from a signal processing circuit which performs signal processing with respect to an image pickup element of an endoscope, and image signals of a plurality of modes outputted from peripheral devices such as a VTR and the like, by a changing-over switch to output the image signals of the plurality of modes from a plurality of signal output ends. The plurality of output ends are connected to a plurality of input ends of an image display apparatus for performing image display. The image display apparatus is provided with a plurality of signal processing systems corresponding to the image signal of the mode inputted from the respective input ends, and is capable of selecting a single signal processing system by a changing-over switch to output the single signal processing system to a CRT.

  • Patent number: 5374953
Abstract: In an electronic endoscope apparatus each of the signals of a plurality of systems output from at least one solid state imaging device is judged by a signal monitoring device as to whether it is normal or not. On the basis of the judged result, the processing mode corresponding to each of the signals of the plurality of systems is changed and each signal is processed. If an abnormality occurs, an observed image with which the endoscope inspection can continue will be secured to be safe. Further, in the electronic endoscope apparatus, when the output signal from the solid state imaging device is judged to be abnormal, the amount of illuminating light will be attenuated, the danger by the excessive amount of illuminating light will be avoided and the safety of the person being monitored will be secured.

  • Patent number: 5269289
Abstract: A cavity insert device comprising an insert section capable of being inserted into tracts and cavities, a detection circuit for detecting conditions of components making up the device, such as an observation device formed at the distal end side of the insert section, and a fuzzy inference section for synthetically determining a plurality of information signals outputted from the detection circuit and producing control signals to control the components. The fuzzy inference section employs inference rules which are empirically considered to be desirable, and control is made by the control signals obtained with the fuzzy inference. The device is thus operated in a nearly optimum state.
