  • Patent number: 6571924
Abstract: A pulley unit capable of ensuring long-term operational stability in use as a one-way clutch is provided. A one-way clutch is disposed between a pulley and its concentric shaft. The one-way clutch exhibits a U-shaped inner ring that is integral with the pulley, a U-shaped outer ring integral with the shaft, and rollers accommodated within wedge-like spaces formed between the inner ring and the outer ring. A load from a belt is exerted not on the one-way clutch but mainly on a bearing disposed radially inside of the one-way clutch.

  • Publication number: 20020060117
Abstract: Providing a pulley unit with a reduced diameter, stable operating characteristics, and that is simple and readily removable from an engine is accomplished by a one-way clutch disposed between a pulley and a shaft body that are concentrically arranged. A shaft defines a shaft attachment space at a position which is not overlapped by rollers contained in the one-way clutch in an axial direction. The shaft body is attached to the shaft at the shaft attachment space. The shaft body, disposed inside the rollers in a radial direction, does not have a through hole, but rather, has a non-through structure.

  • Patent number: 6271259
Abstract: This invention is characterized by a brain function improving preparation containing theanine not less than 50 &mgr;M. It was confirmed that theanine could increase intracellular Ca2+ concentration by acting on NMDA receptors even at a low dose of about 50 &mgr;M. Thus, the brain function improving preparation of this invention was shown to be capable of causing plastic change in neurons or neural circuit. Since theanine has been approved as a food additive and being consumed daily, its safety has no problem. Moreover, theanine passes the blood-brain barrier relatively easily and, thus, it is effective as an oral preparation.

  • Patent number: 5739815
Abstract: An image display system comprises an area setting section, an area detecting section, an interrupt generating section, and a palette writing section. In order to divide a display screen into a plurality of small screen areas, the area setting section sets the head position of each of the areas. When the area detecting section detects the head position of a small screen area, the interrupt generating section generates an interrupt. In response to the interrupt, the palette writing section writes display color information for the small screen area into a palette. This system permits each of the small screen areas to be associated with a substantially different palette.
