  • Patent number: 4887758
Abstract: An apparatus for connecting or bonding leads of solid-state devices to lead frames, etc. in which a solid-state device punched out of a film carrier by a punch is first picked up and held by a suction-adhesion head. A raising and lowering arm is then driven longitudinally and laterally so that the suction-adhesion head with the solid-state device thereon is moved to a position over a first bonding station. Then, the raising and lowering arm is lowered via a vertical driving mechanism, and the solid-state device held by the suction-adhesion head is pressed against a specified lead frame. A first bonding tool is lowered and simultaneously bonds the leads on two opposite sides of the solid-state device to the lead frame. Then, the first bonding tool is raised, and the suction-adhesion head is raised and moves back to a position over the punch.

  • Patent number: 4844377
Abstract: The present invention relates to a tape cassette suitable for VTRs which allows mounting of two kinds of tape cassettes whose outer dimensions are different from each other. The tape cassette has a front cover for covering a magnetic tape stretched in the front of a cassette body and a rear cover for covering the rear side of the magnetic tape, and the front edge of the upper surface of the rear cover is arranged to be normal to the upper surface of the cassette body so as to prevent error-insertion and to allow simple and sure insertion into a VTR and provide an excellent air-tightness, resulting in the prevention of image deterioration due to increase of drop out caused by entering of dust and so on.

  • Patent number: 4809113
Abstract: A tape cassette for use in a video tape recorder or the like, which includes a cassette main body having an upper case and a lower case fitted to each other to define the main body, and a front cover movably mounted on the cassette main body for covering a magnetic tape stretched along a front face of the cassette main body, and is characterized in that there are provided a protrusion formed at the lower portion of the front cover so as to extend in a direction toward the lower case, and a corresponding protruding portion formed on the lower case so as to extend in a direction toward the magnetic tape, and thus, upon closure of the front cover, the protrusion of the front cover is adapted to be located at a position below the protruding portion of the lower case.

  • Patent number: 4803575
Abstract: An improved standard size video cassette has a top shell and a bottom shell held together so as to define a rectangular casing for storing therein a magnetic tape wound on reels. The bottom shell is formed with a groove having a width sufficiently wide to receive the projection therein with hardly any contact during cassette insertion into or ejection from the holder. An improved reduced size video cassette has a top shell and a bottom shell held together so as to define a rectangular casing for storing therein a magnetic tape wound on reels. The bottom shell is formed with the groove which is located such that a distance between the center of the groove and one end of the rectangular casing is slightly smaller than the distance between a center of the projection and one of the opposite side plates.

  • Patent number: 4526646
Abstract: An inner lead bonder for bonding dies to leads of carrier tape with improved positional accuracy and improved work efficiency. In the inner lead bonder, dies are fed to a die positioning spot one at a time and positioned. Then, said positioned die is carried to a bonding position. On the other hand, leads of a carrier tape are fed to the bonding position and positioned at the spot above the aforesaid die. Thereafter, the leads of the carrier tape are pressed onto the die and bonded by using a bonding tool. This inner lead bonder is characterized in that it includes a rotary table with the size covering the die positioning point and the bonding position, and after positioning the die on the rotary table, the rotary table is rotated in order to bring the die positioned as mentioned above to the bonding position to place the die at a proper position for bonding.
