  • Publication number: 20090204568
Abstract: When an external recording medium connected to an interface is removed therefrom and a new external recording medium is connected to the interface, a processor selects either first file analysis information read from a memory or second file analysis information generated based on analysis of data recorded on the new external recording medium as file analysis information to be used for decoding a file stored in the new external recording medium, and the processor makes such selection based on comparison between first recording medium management information and second recording medium management information.

Abstract: A template creation apparatus includes a text input unit, block information input unit, data model input unit, generation rule input unit, and template generation unit. The text input unit inputs at least one sample text as a sample of the text which can be generated by using the template. The block information input unit inputs, in correspondence with the sample text, block information representing the range and structure of an insertion block in which the character string can be replaced in the template. The data model input unit inputs a data model as the base of the character string of the insertion block in the sample text. The generation rule input unit inputs a generation rule to generate the character string of the insertion block in the sample text from the data model.

  • Patent number: 6262759
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming an image reduce the processing load on a video controller. A CPU causes a counter to start counting the optical beam detection signals of a photodiode in accordance with a signal which indicates the leading edge of a sheet of recording paper received from a TOP sensor. Comparators compare the count value issued from the counter with the values set by the CPU at registers. Based on the comparison result, an F/F sets Q output. Thus, a BD signal is issued through a gate during a period specified by the values set at the registers. The use of the BD signal reduces the processing load on the video controller which generates and transfers an image signal.
