Patent number: 6190618Abstract: A garbage processor has a vessel for receiving garbage, a rotary pulverizer/stirrer for crushing and stirring the garbage in the vessel and a first heater for drying the garbage in the vessel. A steam is generated upon heating and drying of the garbage. An air blower feeds a high pressure an ambient air into the vessel to force the steam out of the vessel. A steam separator is provided for separating the steam into a water and a gas. A second heater is provided downstream of the steam separator for oxidizing the gas emanating from the steam separator to reduce a smell of the gas. Patent number: 5155374Abstract: An engine starter system includes a switching-over circuit arrangement for selectively connecting a large-capacity capacitor parallel or in series to a battery. Normally, the capacitor is connected parallel to the battery and charged thereby. When starting an engine with a starter, the charged capacitor is connected in series to the battery, and the voltage of the capacitor and the voltage of the battery are added and applied to the starter to energize a starter motor for starting the engine.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 1990Date of Patent: October 13, 1992Assignee: Isuzu Motors LimitedInventors: Akihiro Shirata, Yoshinobu Tsuchiya, Ken Kurabayashi

Patent number: 5155373Abstract: An engine starter system for driving an engine starter with electric power from a battery mounted on a motor vehicle has a pair of large-capacitance capacitors which are selectively connected to the battery and the starter. One of the capacitors is connected to the battery and charged thereby when the detected voltage across the one capacitor is lower than a predetermined voltage, and the other capacitor which is charged sufficiently enough is connected to the starter. Electric energy whose voltage is higher than the predetermined voltage is therefore continuously supplied to the starter to start the engine.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 1990Date of Patent: October 13, 1992Assignee: Isuzu Motors LimitedInventors: Yoshinobu Tsuchiya, Ken Kurabayashi, Akihiro Shirata

Patent number: 5146095Abstract: An engine starter system starts a motor in response to operation of a starter keyswitch. Immediately before the engine is started, a capacitor is manually connected to a power supply such as a storage battery. When the capacitor is charged up to a preset voltage, the electric energy stored in the capacitor is discharged to energize the motor.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 1990Date of Patent: September 8, 1992Assignee: Isuzu Motors LimitedInventors: Yoshinobu Tsuchiya, Akihiro Shirata, Hiroyoshi Moroboshi

Patent number: 5079709Abstract: A method of controlling a traction of a vehicle, comprising the steps of reading a value determining a throttle opening and closing speed from a first throttle control map from which said throttle opening and closing speed are determined on the basis of a difference in speed between a driving and non-driving wheel speeds and of an acceleration of the driving wheel, and converting said value to an actual throttle opening and closing speed with a conversion rate corresponding to an acceleration of the non-driving wheel thereby controlling the throttle of the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 1990Date of Patent: January 7, 1992Assignees: Isuzu Motors Limited, Fujitsu Limited, Akebono Brake Industry Co., Ltd., Akebono Research and Development Centre Ltd.Inventors: Atsushi Hirako, Akihiro Shirata, Naoyuki Hagiya, Yoshiaki Yabe, Shigeki Moride

Patent number: 5077634Abstract: An electric double layer capacitor employs a paste electrode between collector electrodes. The paste electrode is compressed under small load because the collector electrodes are pressed by compression plates in only an area corresponding to the past electrode. With the paste electrode thus compressed, the internal resistance of the capacitance is reduced and the capacitance of the capacitor is stable. The electric double layer capacitor comprises a stack of basic cells of capacitor elements. The basic cells are held closely together by a bolt which extends through central holes in the basic cells and interconnects the compression plates, so that the basic cells are compressed under a uniform and appropriate pressure.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 1990Date of Patent: December 31, 1991Assignee: Isuzu Motors LimitedInventors: Akihiro Shirata, Ken Kurabayashi, Yoshinobu Tsuchiya, Yoriaki Niida

Patent number: 4856360Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a transmission having a synchromesh has a shifting actuator having an electric motor for shifting gears of the transmission. A load on the synchromesh is measured when shifting the gears of the transmission. A shifting stroke value for the shifting actuator when the measured load on the the synchromesh falls within a predetermined range is learned and stored. Based on the stored shifting stroke value, the electric motor of the shifting actuator is controlled when shfting the transmission gears.Type: GrantFiled: September 29, 1988Date of Patent: August 15, 1989Assignee: Isuzu Motor LimitedInventors: Hiroshi Yoshimura, Akihiro Shirata, Junzo Kuroyanagi
